Ohhh! Fun topic! The paranormal has been an interest of mine for some time now, so I’ve done alot of thinking on this whole thing. In fact, I’m playing with an idea for a series of paranormal style mysteries.
I don’t believe that all paranormal activity is demonic/evil. I believe a good deal of it is natural events with a quirk that makes them not normal aka paranormal. I do believe that Bigfoot and El Chupacabra and Nessie could exsist as an aberration of a natural creature. The only paranormal activity I really think has evilness is witchcraft.
I have seen spirits and I strongly believe that they are the people in Purgatory. I once encountered the spirit of my grandmother when I started sleeping in the room she had used when she lived with us, and the energy coming from her was part anger and part sorrow. Needless to say, only my dolls and sewing equipment sleep in there now, lol.
I’m going to deviate from the beaten path here and say that I absolutely believe in alien life and that UFOs are quite possibly an expression there of. I do believe that a good deal of the sightings can be explained, but from what I’ve read and seen, I do think there’s something otherworldly about UFOs. Oh, and I’ve seen one. With my father, who is a complete skeptic on, well, everything. If HE can admit what we saw was an actual craft (in the day, so you could tell it was metal) and it moved in a manner no current aircraft known to us move in, well, that’s all the proof I needed.
The first line of the Bible says “God created the HEAVENS and the earth.” Is it so hard to believe a God as awesome as ours could create other intelligent beings? God’s world holds many wonders and with the exception of witchcraft, I think the paranormal is just that…science or natural phenomena acting abnormally.
