UGCC creates three new metropolita

Why the need for the new metropolita? Is there a massive increase in the Faithful?
 
Probably not because of a massive increase of faithful, but probably because the UGCC’s episcopal structure was not suited for the number of faithful it had. We had one Metropolitan in Ukraine since the days of Kyivan Rus’ , so I think it was a bit long over due.
 
So not there are these seven Metropolitan Sees:

Kyiv
Lviv (from Kyiv)
Ivano-Frankivsk (from Kyiv)
Ternopil-Zboriv (from Kyiv)
Przemysl-Warsaw
Winnipeg
Philadelphia
