Ugh-Chick tracts

So I found a couple Chick tracts on campus last night, it was disgusting. No Catholic bashing, but I’m waiting for it. It was the “This was your life” cartoon. I had to explain to someone that the views of Jack T. Chick are extreme, and often times ridiculous. Please pray for my fellow students, that no one will be deceived.
 
While the person who left them there no doubt means well, they are being misled, and to prevent further people from being misled you should probably try and dispose of them if you can. Why not order some Catholic tracts to drop around to counter it?
 
There is a great free resource tract right here on Catholic Answers called The Nighmare World of Jack Chick…nobody could give this guy a second look after reading the truth behind him and his criminal friends.

Yes, I’m sure they mean well and will say a prayer for them. I did take the remaining one so no one can be misled. I’ll look for others around campus as well.

another way to counter chick tracts… rosaries.
i make twine ones to give away, the instructions and links to sources are at www.rosaryarmy.com

its kind of hard to be open to Heresy when you are wearing/carrying/praying the Rosary. and maybe you can get some of your fellow students into making them, for the military, or local hospitals.

i made them with a knotted cross (no metal) for oncology (cancer) wards… to go through the MRI
 
That Is a very good idea. I will talk to the Newman Center on campus and see if we can do anything. God Bless you for what you do! Making Rosaries so they can be taken into the MRI is amazing, God Love you! 🙂
 
I find Jack Chick rather interesting, there is a bookstore in Ontario that has all his stuff. Chick tracts show you what you get when you take the bible at face value without much interpretation. :whacky:
 
That Alberto guy isn’t an ex-anything. He was never trained in any seminary let alone a Jesuit seminary. I can’t remember where I found the link, but it laid out the whole story of Alberto that he bounced around the United States at various times founding different churches, doing various scams and cheating several people along the way. He was never even Catholic.

“The Nightmare World of Jack Chick” has a whole section on Alberto Rivera. He strikes me as just another con-man.

I had no clue who this guy was, so I googled him, found a tract cartoon on Catholicism, and have concluded he is deluded (Edited). He needs to read a basic Catholic apologetics book. All the things he said are elementary questions that a little leaguer could hit out of the park, with basic logic, Bible reading, and use of reason.

Jack Chick helped me get saved, the tract he reached me with was called ‘Bad Bob’ if I remember correctly.

Some of his tracts aren’t so objectionable, like the one you mentioned, except that they usually teach Sola Scriptura and OSAS.
 
I have found Chick Tracts to be invaluable-they have saved me many times. you see I often find them in highway rest area restrooms, which are often out of toilet paper…
