Ugh-Chick tracts

ignoring some of the prior posts because i think excrement jokes are NOT appropriate in this forum…

There are Chick tracts that are merely…well… merely fundamentalist born again propaganda. as such they are no better or worse than any other born again church’s propaganda. They may even do some people some good
HOWEVER
the rest of teh Chick tracts are not so banal.
these are the tracts that directly insult Catholicism, that LIE about this con artist who pretended to be an “ex Jesuit priest” while writing bad checks and ripping people off…
the really entertaining ones are the ones about RPGs

did you know, according to Jack Chick, that playing a Role Playing Game will enable you to cast ACTUAL SPELLS that can ENSLAVE OTHERS?:eek:

sadly my years and years of playing super heroes, fighters, cybernetic people, humanoid cats, and more have apparently been defective. i never could make ANYONE buy me hundreds of dollars of gaming stuff.
but i bet if you hand that tract to a teen who feels powerless and alone they sure will want to go find a RPG… which may explain all the loser idiots who showed up wanting to play D&D at our conventions.

Jack Chick does the one thing you shoudl NEVER do. he gives Satan far too much power.
if you tell people over and over that Satanists, witches, and RPGers can actually cast real spells… and make millians of dollars by magic, win the Lottery at a whim, etc… you are NOT helping.

I was kidding around before but in all seriousness I find it hard to believe anyone actually believes these little comics. They are amusing though. Jack Chick is a true old-school Protestant, he knows what a Protestant is protesting against, the RCC. He believes true Protestantism is dying out because of the ecumenical movement.

i used to run a new age store before i converted.
we had them left on our doorstep, and had ministers come in a try to hand them to our customers.

i have seen these things around for years. one of the neighborhood RCC had a guy come from a “foursquare bible church” every sunday and leaflet the cars!

believe me, people AVTUALLY BELIEVE this crp
 
Yes, the sad thing is that people actually believe these wretched things. He blatantly lies, and if you would do a little research into the Church and Her Doctrine, you can see that this filth he puts out is ridiculous. It strikes me hard to believe that some actually think the Church has the name of every protestant in a “big computer.” That seems to me to be the must unrealistic thing I have ever heard. Sad thing is though people believe it. If these tracts were meant to lead me away from the Church, they have done just the opposite. They have only confirmed my faith as I cling to Holy Mother Church, and feel an increased devotion to prayer; for Jack Chick and those who produce and believe his tracts.

A lot of his stuff has zero to do with the Bible - he popularizes the theories of others, suitably simplified so that some Fundamentalists (Edited) can understand them. That’s why they can’t be disproved - those who swallow this stuff are apparently not intelligent enough to understand why this stuff is garbage.​

An excellent suggestion! CA has some that you can get on the main site, and there are some very good ones available from Grotto Press. They have one that is about Halloween and where it really comes from that is especially good for this time of year.
 
My sister used to work in a bookstore, and found some Chick tracts left on a shelf once. She kept the one about evolution, that had a gorilla or a monkey, I don’t remember which, on the cover and said “Daddy?” because she thought it was a hoot. :rotfl:

HAHA! I don’t know whats worse…the fact that you used them from random highway restrooms or the fact that you still keep them after using them!
