Jesus (p) ordered in OT to destroy the whole city of idol worshipers. Many other punishments were alos sanctioned by Jesus (p). So , Jesus (p) treated humans like mindless slaves?
First, Jesus did not order anyone to be put to death at any time, and you cannot show where he did so. Now, God the Father did order the Isrealites to take up arms against others, but there are reasons for that.

Jesus teaches forgiveness and love. He also allows us to choose for ourselves if we are to follow him or not. Does Allah allow that same choice? Is everyone free to accept or deny Islam as they want?

What’s wrong with it ? alcohol is the mother of many evils . It’s better if all can avoid alcohol. I read that in some Churches , they drink grape juice , not alcohol anymore.
The Bible speaks of alcohol (more specifically wine) as a blessing, and wine was an integral part of the feasts under the Old Covenant.
Yes, Holy Communion is also wine. I know that a horrible practice with grape juice has entered many churches, and I speak up against this blasphemy whenever I encounter it. It is mocking the Sacrament, and it is inexcusable.

To the rest of the post: Trying to prevent a shop from selling a legal item that people might want to buy is saying more about the view of the world that the would-be “stopper” has than about the item. That world-view is the “My way - or else!”, that’s held either by small children or terrorists.

But still, some of the liquor laws here can get pretty nutty - they are different in every state for one thing, and in Texas, some counties are completely ‘dry’ while others are completely ‘sloshed’.

**And then some cities in Texas (or when I lived there, such as Dallas) are partly wet and partly dry (as regarding where you can buy alcoholic drinks).

I bear witness there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead!**

when God the Father ordered to destroy the whole city , God the son agreed with Him or not ?

In the Catholic forum , a marriage coordinator complained that friends of bridegroom were drinking beer & he told them alcohol was not allowed on Church property . So , wine is a blessing but not beer ?

I was hoping that we would not get into the whole issue of what and why, but we will.

WE must understand the whole story. The land known as Isreal had been promised to Noah’s family first, then specificially to those descended from Abraham. The rights to the land was passed through Isaac to his son, Jacob (Isreal). Now, Isreal had 12 sons who were the fathers of the 12 tribes. When they came back from Egypt, they found people on the land that God had promised them. God ordered them to wipe the cities out for three reasons. First, they had no claim to the land as God had already given it to Isreal. Second, the Isrealites had gotten used to idol worship, so the exposure to idolators would be problematic. Third, there is no reason to think that God had not tried to get them to convert away from Idolatry. They were not being killed because God wanted them dead. Nor were they killed because God hated them.

Anyway, the Father and the Son are one in purpose. The son can not ever oppose the Father.

Now, once Jesus was born into the World, the message was no longer kill those who oppose you but forgive and pray for them. Jesus teaches us a higher way. A way closer to God’s heart. We are to forgive, not hate. Vengence is reserved for the Lord, not for us.

Individual churches have their own rules about alcohol use. You need to see that using wine during the Mass is not the same as beer at a party.

Insurance companies tend to dictate alcohol use at events held on church property.

then it’s ok to say that Jesus (p) allowed war , killing , polygamy , keeping virgins alive for soldiers etc etc.

Muhammad was the one that approved of all that! Get your facts straight!

Check out this by InJesus which explains this very well.

If I remember correctly, the problem was WHERE the beer was consumed, and WHEN: INSIDE the church, IMMEDIATELY following the ceremony.
A church is not a tavern, or a private home, and is not the proper place for consuming alcohol that is not in relation to Holy Communion.

That is not to say that alcohol is forbidden outside of the church, and that Christians should not drink alcohol at all. The Word of God speaks positively about the PROPER USE (i.e. not getting yourself drunk) of alcohol - whether you like this fact or not.

Yes, do read inJesus’s answer to the first question.

Now, in the United States, if you have a building, you pay insurance in case something happens on your grounds or to them. If you serve alcohol at the event, you pay higher insurance. Some people will not want to pay more for the ability to serve alcohol, so they will not allow it to be served, giving them a lower insurance premium.

Fatwa allows Muslim’s guide dog inside mosque

guardian.co.uk, Thursday September 25 2008

A blind Muslim student yesterday became the first person to be allowed to take a guide dog into a UK mosque.

Mahomed-Abraar Khatri, 18, can now enter his place of worship in Leicester with canine companion Vargo after the Muslim Law (Sharia) Council UK issued a fatwa in response to his request.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association described the decision as “a massive step forward for other blind and partially-sighted Muslims”.

Previously, all dogs were banned from mosques because the Islamic faith historically sees them as being for guarding and hunting only. However, the position was softened because guide dogs could be classed in the “working dogs” category. The animals are still barred from entering the prayer hall for the sake of hygiene but are allowed to guide their owners to the area where shoes are placed, the fatwa says.

A special rest area has been set up in the entrance of the Bilal Jamia mosque for Vargo while Khatri is praying. Previously, the teenager, who attends the RNIB College in Loughborough, had to be accompanied to the mosque by a sighted helper.

His father, Gafar Khatri, said: “Since Mahomed-Abraar has had his guide dog, Vargo, he has regained his independence. Obviously it is early days but his confidence is growing daily.”

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association hopes the fatwa will set a precedent, encouraging other blind and partially sighted Muslims to consider owning a guide dog. It is also hoped that mosque leaders in the UK and abroad will follow suit and allow guide dogs inside.

After issuing the fatwa, Muhammad Shahid Raza, director of the Imams and Mosques Council UK and secretary of the Muslim Law (Sharia) Council UK, said: "I hope that all existing mosques will follow Bilal mosque in serving the disabled people in a similar way by providing facilities to them.

I also believe that, in all new mosques, such facilities for disabled people will be an essential part of their design."

This is very good news. Hopefully more religious councils will follow suit so that blind and partially-sighted Muslims are no longer descriminated against. Maybe somehow the cabbie in the original story will see this news item and change his ways. Discriminating against the blind based on a religious ideology is sick. Allah created blind people too, didn’t he?
