There’s probably no chance the USCCB weighs in as an entity, though individual bishops might. The USCCB is too divided to give a unified opinion on a matter like this, and I doubt they would do it anyway even if they were all of one mind since there is a great aversion, for better or for worse, of criticizing fellow bishops (sex abuse might be the only exception to this). Some individual bishops will probably speak out though, but probably only a tiny fraction.
