Ultimately, how can we determine which interpretation of the Bible is true?

Hi Todd,

In the Bible we can mostly understand anything referring to personal conduct and spiritual education such as being kind, loving, pure and holy etc.

But now, in our current period of history we need clarification on how to live and behave today because the world has expanded since the time of Christ and love thy neighbour is not enough in a world society. But where does Christ say to love all mankind, or love people of all faiths? He does not so in that case clarification is needed.

Do we see Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims as brothers and love them or only Christians?

Then, which form of government should Christians create or uphold? If the Books are sealed to the time of the end then these and many other questions can only be answered by Christ on His Return and not by man.

Which Christian sect holds the truth because there are many? Christ said He would come like a thief in the night and to ‘watch and pray’ or we would miss His coming. If it was going to be obvious to everyone He would not have said to watch and pray. So that means it is an event that requires a pure heart and spiritual awareness to see not just outward eyes.

What if He has come and we have missed Him?
Christ established only the Catholic Church. Christ is God. The many “sects” you refer to were man-made.
Christ entrusted the Deposit of Faith to the Catholic Church.
Christ gave the Catholic Church the authority to teach in matters of faith and morals.
Only the Catholic Church has the fullness of truth. Some others have some truths only.

If humanity did not fall into error there would be no need for Christ to return.

But He did say to watch and pray as He would come like a thief in the night. The command to ‘watch’ and ’ thief in the night’ implies His coming could be missed by anyone. There are no guarantees given by Christ only that we have to watch and pray.

Let’s say for arguments sake? Christ came again and we missed Him but that He clarified that Muhammad and the Quran were sent by God?

Christ told His disciples that He had many things to say to them but they wouldn’t be able to understand them. Could one of those things be Muhammad and the Quran which Christ would confirm as true upon His return?

And if the books are sealed till the time of the end then when’s the time of the end??

The thing is how do we know Christ hasn’t come already? Interpretation of the meaning of the Bible is not guaranteed. Daniel was told to go his own way as the books were sealed until the time of the end so no-one can claim to have interpreted the Bible correctly until the time of the end when Christ returns and unseals the Books.

Why would the Quran deny Christ’s deity when the Church of God has always taught otherwise.

if by deity you men God or from God?

Nowhere in the Bible does Christ proclaim ‘I am God’

He calls Himself the Son of Man and is known as the Messiah which the Quran confirms.

He calls Himself a Prophet which the Quran confirms also

Matthew 13:57
And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.” And

Jesus says there is none good but one that is God

There are many verses in Scripture; Scripture’s not always clear on every point-and verses can be cited in support of each position in this case. This is why we *need *God’s Church; this is why Christ established it. And the Church He established holds as an absolute and essential truth that Jesus is God.
