Um, are any CAF members big fans of Nickelback?

The video the OP posted kind of explains it.
Hating Nickelback is a general meme among everybody I know. They’re considered to be the dregs of ubercommercial rock selloutitude, especially since almost every song sounds the same. (This is nothing new; most bands make whole series of songs that sound the same.)
A couple years ago there was a Trump rally a few blocks from my house and college kids were out protesting with “Trump Likes Nickelback” signs.

My wife dragged me to a concert 10 years ago. I don’t hate their music, just don’t love them.
 
In 2005/2006, I was really into “Photograph”. I created 26 copies of it, called them “A”, “B”, and so on through “Z”", and had them sprinkled throughout my winamp playlist.

That was the only song I ever heard/liked by them.
 
I have difficulty listening to it without crying because it reminds me too much of people I knew 35 years ago who in some cases are no longer with us.
