The attacks today, and Koran burnings that prompted them, should make everyone want to reaffirm their commitment to religious tolerance. Which in my view is a secular value. I know that recent posts regarding ethics and love were directed at Athiests. But still I think people should consider where the “my religion is best” mentality can lead.
One would have hoped history had already taught that lesson. Apparently not.
And no I am not comparing people here to book burners, or decapitating jihadists.
But perhaps moment of reflection is appropriate.
