Unable to attend Easter Virgil and Easter Mass

Hi, I am looking to book a during the Easter weekend and will be cruising on both Sat night and Sunday. Is it a sin not to attend Easter Mass in this case? Or should i not go for the cruise at this time?

EDIT: I checked and there dont seem to be any mass on board this particular cruise.

Idk what the problem is. Most cruise lines offer religious services. Everyone I’ve went on has had Catholic mass daily…
 
Hi, thanks for the reply. I might have forgotten to mention that there will not be any mass on board this cruise ship.
 
Mass is more important than a cruise. I would forego any cruise line that doesn’t offer Mass.

EDIT: And send a letter to the cruise line alerting them to the fact that many Catholics go on cruises and that by not offering Mass, they are losing potential customers who will go somewhere else.

That’s a shame, I go on a lot of cruises and all the major cruise lines seem to have a priest on board for Easter and Christmas. Have a word with your parish priest about it.

You rarely get a priest at other times of the year, unless one just happens to be on board. A inter-denominational religious service is always available on a Sunday, but of course, that’s not Mass.

I’ve only been on one – 7 days long – and there was no Catholic mass offered on any of those days. It even said on the cruise line’s website that Catholic mass was only certainly available for Christmas (and maybe Easter).

@rookief Talk with your pastor about your options, and maybe double check with the cruise line by making a phone call or sending an email.

Easter is the highest celebration on the Church’s calendar. Take your pleasure cruise over one of the 51 other weekends in the year.
