Uncle & Aunt injured in motorcycle accident

Please pray for my aunt and uncle who were injured in a motorcycle accident recently.

My aunt Gerry has been released from the hospital after receiving about 19 stitches to her face. I’m uncertain at this time other physical injuries she has received.

My uncle’s injuries are more severe as he has some bleeding on the brain (which at this time appears to be contained) and also has some broken ribs.

I learned this morning that my uncle also has a broken vertabre in his back. I’m uncertain of the severity.

Thank you. Our entire family has been going through quite a bit over this past month in particular. Here are my other requests. I appreciate the prayer for me as well.

Keeping them both in prayer and in a special way your Uncle.
 
I have an update on my uncle but I am afraid it isn’t the good news we were hoping for. Apparently my uncle has had additional bleeding on the brain and needed another operation.

On the positive side, my aunt is recovering from her injuries and had some of the stitches she received removed. I would imagine that emotionally she must be still going through much however.
 
My uncle’s condition has stablized. They were able to insert a tube into his brian to contain the bleeding.

I have received an update from my dad via e-mail regarding my aunt and uncle:
Our plan was to be home by Wed. night, but after hearing that Alice’s sister Geri and her husband Bill were in a motorcycle accident, we went to Chicago instead to visit them. Geri asked us to stay at their home Wed. night. We went to visit Bill in the hospital on Thurs. Bill was transferred to a rehab. hospital about 2:00 p.m. on Thurs. so our visit there was quite late. Bill is still in a coma. He does open his eyes occasionally and does smile. He was given 2 units of blood the day after we left. Geri seems to be doing OK, but she has some problems with her left eye, that may need laser surgery if the problem continues. She has 19 stitches near that eye.
