Uncle having triple bypass

My uncle had a heart attack the week of Christmas, and dr’s found out he had 3 arteries blocked (out of 4). Dr’s were able to open one up, but with the massive heart attack he suffered and the other arteries being plugged, they are doing surgery on him on the 30th. They would do it sooner, but they don’t think his heart could take it so soon after the heart attack.

Please pray my uncle Arturo’s surgery will come out good. He’s very positive about this, in a way. He’s even saying that if he doesn’t make it, he’s lived a good life and knows we all love him. He’s not even 60… 😦 He never married, so his mom, siblings, cousins and nieces and nephews are all he has.

will be keeping your Uncle in prayer along with his surgeon and medical team…praying all will go well and with a speedy recover. Praying too for you, the family and friends at this worrying time…

I had a triple two years ago, though my condition was better than his. I can identify with his acceptance of what will be will be. I wasn’t sure how it was going to come out but was sure whatever happened would be right.

Thank you all for praying, we really do need the prayers. My uncle’s surgery is going to be in one of the best hospitals of the SF Bay Area, the same hospital where my dad (stepdad_ had 2 double bypasses done in '04. My dad’s perfectly fine now, thanks to God. I pray my uncle’s surgery goes better than my da’s because my dad’s first surgery was ruined by a heart attack in the ICU, so in the morning he had to get a second one to bypass the bypass (a hospital mistake :mad:, well, the mistake of 2 nurses).

I pray this time the nurses will no be fresh out of school and have very well trained nurses who know how to use their machines. I trust the surgeons, they were very good when my ddad went thru it. The only thing is my dad’s 10 yrs younger than my uncle.

I pray God will let uncle Arturo get thru this. Our family has gone thru a lot since 2004.
 
By the way, be sure he follows up with rehab and keeps to the exercise program. Both are vital.

My uncle is having his surgery in 3 days and he refused having a priest see him before the surgery. He says seeing a priest scares him 😦 . I tried convincing him that if something bad were to happen, that at least he would go Home w/o sins, but he still refuses.

Please pray all goes well. He’s scared but knows he has one of the best surgeons in the US doing this on him.

I will keep your Uncle in prayer. Yessisan, maybe you can tell him that seeing a priest is just like seeing a Dr. The Dr. heals the physical and the priest heals the spiritual. Besides he doesn’t know what the Lord will be working through the priest. I am friends with a priest and he was called in to give last rites to a person who was in a coma. The Dr. said that this woman was probably not going to make it through the night. As Father and family were praying and finishing up with the Lords prayer, she came out of the coma and started praying with them. She thanked Father for his prayers and is doing just fine now. Tell him about this. It may give him a different outlook.

My uncle’s been in surgery since 7:30am (pacific time). We were told his surgery would last about 4 hrs. It’s been 3 so far.

Praying that the surgery is successful and that all goes well and his intensive care today and tomorrow will go well too.

My dad’s intensive care was really bad, the nurses made a mistake and he had a heart attack and in less than 24 hrs from the surgery he had to get it re-done.

Praying my uncle has better care than my dad did.
