Mgr Jia Zhiguo, underground bishop of Zhengding (Hebei), was released yesterday morning after 15 months of detention in an unknown location. Wednesday night, surrounded by a hundred faithful, he celebrated Mass in the cathedral of Wuqiu village, where he lives.
