Understand Revelations?

Good morning everyone!

I have been trying to read the book of Revelations, I understand that it is past, present, and future but for some reason I am still having trouble understanding it. Does anyone know of any reference books that I can use or links I can go to, to help my bible study out? I want to understand but all my searches just end up confusing me more. I also have not seen in any of the chapters anything that would lead me to the idea of a Rapture am I reading it wrong? Please help.

Well, you must be doing something right, because the Catholic Church doesn’t believe in the Rapture either, at least not in the way that Protestants think. The Rapture is primarily a nineteenth century American Protestant invention that has no real basis in Catholic thought.
 
Wow, I went through the links, thank you. Why is it that the things I need most always cost more money than I have? Is there a study guide on a website that I can get my hands on?

The Lamb’s Supper is a pretty common book. There’s a pretty reasonable chance that your public library would have it. Alternatively, many Catholic Churches have small libraries, and you might find it there.

“Coming Soon - Unlocking Revelation” by Richard Barber is a good book that is easy to read. Roughly $9.00

An on-line (and free) Bible Study, that I find to be fantastic and extremely thorough, can be found on AgapeBibleStudy.Com.

Incidentally, you’ll find some other great studies on Hebrews, Romans, Gospel of John, Genesis and a few others there as well.
