I grabbed the above quote from Elwill from another thread and felt it should be discussed within this thread since it is about “Islamic Views”.

Are the Copts of Egypt treated with dignity??

Are the Copts of Egypt respected in any way…??

Are the Copts of Egypt treated well…???

Since you are all commanded to follow the sunna of the prophet, why aren’t muslims in Egypt treating the Copts they way mohamad discribed you should…???

Thanks!

As of the last world fact on population, Egypt has 80,471,869 people

90% of that number is Sunni muslims
9% are Coptic
1% other

90% = 72,424,682 muslims.

So, are you telling me that 72,424,682 Egyptian muslims are not following mohamads teaching/sunna…???

Very good. I have no problem calling God “Allah”, but that is not the same God as the Christian God. Read what the popes have had to say about this. Especially Eugene IV. That was infallible teaching.

Allah isn’t confused at all. He’s converting Souls to his cause at an alarming rate. And those he can’t immediatly convert he confuses with logic based on nothing but Pagan belief in the end. And those who won’t be swayed by this thinking would be destroyed by violence and the very essense which the Quran is written.
Allah tolerates even people like you,you breath the air He created, eat the food He created…and He doesnt stop you ,even after those terrible words against Him:rolleyes:

for us there is only ONE God,but clearly you have a christian god, good luck with that:shrug:

Nope…there is only ONE God. You just confine to you limits. Satan is cheerful of that.
ok then,Allah has an answer for people like you, here it is:

**Say (O Prophet): O ye who reject faith! (1)

لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

I worship not that which ye worship; (2)

وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ

Nor worship ye that which I worship. (3)

وَلَآ أَنَا۟ عَابِدٌ۬ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ

And I shall not worship that which ye worship. (4)

وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ

Nor will ye worship that which I worship. (5)

لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِىَ دِينِ

Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion. (6)**

Bosnian Muslim,

Our Christian heritage and documents go back to the essence of their spiritual roots and witnesses.

Some Muslims give me the impression they are here to teach us Christianity as well…and such a source is gnosticism…drawing myths from truths.

In every myth, no matter what religion, there is an element of truth. I believe the One True God works in some degree in Islam that recognizes common humanity. And subsequently, we Christians are no scholars of the Koran.

The same goes the other way…the Muslims who do not uphold the truth of Jesus Christ have another. Jesus Christ lived, died and resurrected from the dead 2,000 years ago. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and end.

The force of power and killing is not of God but a destructive force based on human passion.

A true prophet continues revealing the will of God and does not contradict former prophets. The Old Testament had many prefigurations regarding the description of the Messiah that were completed and fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is True Prophet, King, and Messiah.

We Christians who know our heritage and the basics of salvation history know the true Christ. You cannot convince us of writings that come from another part of the world, so very different from ours.

I haven’t read all the many posts here so I don’t know if Christoph Luxembourg has been mentioned but he proved that the Koran had been corrupted and mistranslated in its currently accepted form. He is now, predictably, in hiding.
So the Muslims can, and repeatedly do, say that the Old and New Testaments are corrupted (with little evidence) but anyone who proves that the same is true of their holy book has to hide or be killed. Seems fair!

this is just a muslim answer to nonbelievers,i dont quote it to make him believe,i just say to him his and to me mine!

Jharek,
Yes, the Middle East is certainly the center of the world’s great religions…but there are those who have been at war with Israel since time immemorial…and whose militancy does not hear of Christ’s kingdom of the heart.

And there are millions of Muslims converting to Christ right now in the Middle East…and different parts of the world but who cannot reveal themselves, even to their families.

Jesus and Muhammed are much closer then a westerner and Jesus…just so you know

Bosnian Muslim,

I have been sharing the universal catechism with a Muslim brother…yes, brother…we are brother and sister in God and understand each other.

Can you get one? The Prologue and first 23 pages can give you an insight of Jesus Christ. The universal catechism goes back 2,000 years. It is definitive. Anything outside the reality of Jesus Christ, His witnesses is incomplete or in error.

I hope you have the freedom in Islam to read the Catechism. We can read your Koran…although I would need someone who is ‘orthodox’…has the true understanding and application. The good Muslims I am learning to know do not believe in violence but believe more in the common humanity under One God.

If you can’t check out www.newageislam.com…these Muslims are working very hard to restore their heritage.

Please… do not embarrass yourself with placing Jesus Christ in the same thought as being “much closer” with mohamad…

There is NO comparison between the two.

If memory serves me correctly, isn’t he the one having to work on the 7th century Yemen koran found before Uthman created the final koran.

sorry to disappoint you with my answer, but Jesus is not christian…you may claim him,but muslims do it just as much!,to me as a muslim your view of Jesus means 0!! there is no reason to discuss this because it can be dicsussed for 1000 years without any solution…so i wont waste my time on that one

All Muslims are supposed to follow Muhammad’s (pbuh&hf) Sunnah but the reality is that all Sunnis follow the Ummayad’s Sunnah instead of the Noble Prophet.

the term Sunni is a shortened version of Ahl al-sunnah wa al-Jama’ah (the people of the tradition and the community). People mistakenly presume that Sunnah here means tradition of the prophet but if you look back at the earliest historical records you will find that the Sunnah really means the tradition of the Ummayids.

And the word Jama’ah (community) was first used in the context of the year of unification 'Am al-Jama’ah in year 40 or 41 A.H (after the migration to Medina). The year of Unification (Jama’ah) was when the Ummayid Caliph Mu’awiyah unified all of the muslim territories under the Ummayid rule.

So his subjects were commonly referred to as the people of the tradition (of Bani Ummayah) and the community (of Bani Ummayah).

This tradition of Bani Ummayah known as the Sunnah is the tradition of cursing Ali (as) before or after the 5 daily prayers from the minarets of every mosque. This tradition was engrained into society to such an extent when the Ummayid Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz decided to stop this practice, the people took to the street in protest accusing the Caliph of abandoning the “sunnah”.

As time progressed, this part of the early islamic history was forgotten. The term sunni became commonly understood to mean sunnah of the prophet and community of muslims. However, Sunnis continued to adopt beliefs and practices shaped by Ummayid policy put in place by Scholars, writers, and forgers working directly for the Ummayid dynasty to serve their agenda.

So there are different Korans,…the Muslim man that I am communicating with is understanding various passages of the Gospel as any devout Christian. He can also point out to some Muslims their discrepancies in explaining and promoting their Korans…

Whenever I read a Muslim interpreting the Scriptures, they do not reveal any comprehension but are using sources outside the Bible, and I would wonder if they were sources inimical to Judaism and Christianity to distort such things…and when these Muslims are shown the discrepancies or errors, they do not even see that they are attempting to speak about something that is truly outside their experience.

I shared earlier in this thread a recent contemplative reflection by Fr Rohr on the humanity of Christ…and understandably, it drew no response…so culturally and spiritually, we are of a different ‘tree’.
