im having a very tough time trying to understand the living ways of true christianty which is catholicism essentially and god, i understand the sacraments, but i know also that we are called to constant conversion, yet i feel catholicism really makes it seem like you have to be ultra good all the time which seems so impossible, and when i fall, i feel really bad almost to the point of being anxious and paranoid about salvation which is also not in scripture, or what jesus would want,

i feel that i know im not good but i dont like to admit im a sinner, because that would contradict me being a sant, i try to be all high and mighty, i dont know anymore i love the faith and i wont leave but im really in a bad place

the reason why i am so distraught is that im having a tough time grasping catholicism, i understand the mass which i attend but my dad to day life is hard and im failing to understand how im supposed to live and who i am

if as a christian im supposed to feel secure andd great i suppose i do but i feel like im not free as in im walking on egg shells so much AND its paralyzing no i dont need a doctor

When I started CAF, I saw all the people sharing situations and feeling condemned by their SIN. I started to feel heavy burden. My joy was leaving. After VaticanII, there was a lightness in my spirit. I wanted to be at mass, read my Bible. Mortal sin for this and venial sin for that. Vatican II was so great w speaking your vernacular and the contempary Christian music. I think I am seeing a subtle change to go back to the tridentine mass.
"He who the Son sets free, is free indeed."The thief comes to kill, still and destroy but Christ comes to give us abundant life."Keep the Sabbath Holy. Start each day as you are Christ. It is tall order. Practice, when doing something for another by grace. It is not anything that we do that gets us into heaven. It is the blood of Jesus and Jesus’ mercy.
My note is a little scattered but I hope it gives some happy scriptures. Look for more.

thanks i think the biggest thing that i have right now against catholicism is the fact that there is alot of fear instituted, non spiritual fear but mental fear that one has when sinning because he or she feels disordered, he or she feels like they have been doing so good and yet now all of a sudden jesus hates them, there is alot of unhealthy guilt that im struggling with and the biggest thing for me is that like when you go to mass yhou feel hooray, i accomplished this week and i am living saintly, i go to another mass during the week, even better , but then you stumble and its like you feel you lost it all, which essentially you have because your cut off, but you start to feel like its imposssible to reach the saintliness you did before that aka the two masses

We are all sinners. The saints were sinners too. But, God loves us always, no matter what. He knows we are weak. He’s the One who gave us free will. He’s the One who gave us His only Son for our salvation.

We have the glorious sacrament of Reconciliation. We’re able to confess our sins and start anew. If we were perfect, there would be no need for Reconciliation. God gives us many graces through the Sacraments. These graces enable us to grow closer to Holiness. All glory is given to God.

I think once you accept the fact that no one is perfect, you may be able to breathe a little better. You’re not on this journey alone. God is with you. You have a whole community of believers to walk with on your journey. Are you involved in any church ministries? Volunteering? These always lift my soul.

Do you have a Spiritual Director? This might help you also.

Breathe and trust in God. May he bring you peace today.

it just feels that once i attian those graces through confession i want to keep them, almost as if im playing a game like basketball and i m holding onto a ball that i know i will eventually lose agan, i suppose the point is to get better and better though no?

Each time you stumble, get back up and confess your sin to God immediately. Confess it again to a Priest as soon as you can. Keep this up, and if you remain sincere, you should see less and less frequency of stumbling.

Godspeed.

lol whats with your quote there have you taken your priest shooting lately?? whats that supposed to mean?
