Anyone else play Undertale?

I personally like how you can be merciful in the game. I haven’t ever played any other game where you could do that. All the characters have their own unique personality too. 🙂

The only thing I disliked about the game was that one of the characters seems to be a lesbian.

Other than that, I found it to be a very good game. I’d highly recommend it. 😃

It’s probably not worth dancing around the issue. Assuming one reaches the “best ending”, I think it’s pretty dang safe to say that one character IS a lesbian with another arguably being bisexual (if not also a lesbian).

But I agree that the concept of “an RPG where no one has to get hurt” is something special and I can’t think of a single boss theme I don’t like. I also like how unrewarding it is to hurt NPCs. Yeah your stats go up but is it worth the guilt trip…

Undertale was a brilliant little game.

Aside from the fact that the whole message of the game was forgiveness and compassion, there were a lot of neat things it did on a meta level. It managed to blend of a lot mechanics that are common in various games into the story and its overall narrative was something that couldn’t be done outside of a video game.

It also had one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in a game in a long game. Goes up there with Legend of Mana, Chrono Trigger/Cross, and Ys I & II.
