My husband and I are still in the early years of our marriage, but I hold out hope that eventually, DH will be able to overcome his (very sweet) self-consciouness about the “being seen in the ladies department” issue, and bring me home something he picked out all by himself!

In the mean time, he always thinks long and hard about the gifts he gives me, and so I know he really wants to please me! And I pick out “our” frilly gifts myself. 😛
SEND ME :bounce: SEND ME:

The message I want to send out is “I HAVE A WOMAN AT HOME” OH and your hygeane products…YES >>> I’ll make the Price Check Page myself, I want people to know “I HAVE A WOMAN AT HOME AND I’LL DO ANYTHING FOR HER!”

God bless all you women who keep us men humble.

Oy, what man can spend time in places that sell such things and keep a pure heart? Not this one. If there weren’t posters and ads all over the place maybe…

I have no problem standing in the Osco checkout line with Stayfree and KY Jelly in the cart, so it’s not embarassment.

But I am NOT going in one of those stores/departments! But maybe that’s just me and a certain legacy of my teenage years…

Order it online and have it shipped home. They’ll even gift wrap it. That way you don’t have to look weird wandering around the lingerie department.

Of course it is the thought that counts when dh gives me a gift, and I do appreciate that he thinks I would look good in the things he has bought. However, first- the stuff he buys is uncomfortable, and secondly, he tends to buy me “smalls” instead of “mediums” which is my size, which is sweet in that he thinks of me as small, but generally can make me cry when I am too big to fit into them. The poor guy cannot win.

And- darn it- pretty underwear is expensive!

Have you told him what size that you wear? Some of these posts have surprised me because it sounds as if the women aren’t communicating what they want with their hubbies. My hubby knows my size because I tell him.

I would simply request that my hubby returned the item for a medium or I would ask for the sales receipt and explain that he had gotten the wrong size. This shouldn’t hurt his feelings.

By the way, I wear a size five in jeans and can not wear a small in women’s underwear. They are just too tiny. So, don’t feel bad.

Yeah, I have told him each time, he just forgets, silly men!

I also wear small jeans, but, you are right, those small panties are tiny! 🙂

(I think it’s a big scam-- I used to wear a certain size from a certain brand and now, even tho I weigh less, I can’t wear them anymore…I think they must have changed the sizing measurements, or I just like things looser now that I’m a bit older??)

I would smile and roll my eyes inwardly…simply b/c I’m just not a big “frilly” person, but can appreciate how visually oriented men are…and yes, I’m thrilled that he still thinks I can pull that stuff off…lol, and yes I’d be annoyed at how much money they charge for that stuff that you can’t even wash in the machine…lol, and I’d probably wear it to make him smile just the way he bought it to make me smile…b/c his smile is worth a bit of a wedgie in my book…

I’m sure it’s a scam. I used to love the cotton bikinis from Victoria’s Secret, but in the past two years my comfortable size in those has gone up from an extra-small to a medium and I haven’t gained any weight.

ME TOO!!! I wasn’t going to be so bold as to post the actual brand etc…but since you have, THOSE are the ones I was talking about!! And I used to wear the xs and now can barely squeeze into the smalls without a smirk…isn’t it supposed to be the other way around, to make us feel better about ourselves!!!

Depends on what size he’s planning on getting!
That’s just what I was thinking!!! This would put my husband in a quandry, as he guesses me too small on the bottom for trousers and skirts, and too big on the top for sweaters and blouses.

Jewelry, jewelry, jewelry! Love it! My hubby likes to buy it for me and I never object. He is far more comfy in a jewely store that in the “underwear” dept. O.K. by me. 😉

Love and peace

underwear and jewelry…he’d be thrilled if those two stores would do it for me…this year I’ve asked for a salt holder (the little glass one with the flip up lid) and a micrograter – oh, and a salad spinner would be nice too…

Although, last year he bought me a bracelet from beadtrends.com that has my kids names on it – I love it and wear it always, and always get compliments on it…
