United Church of Christ Endorses Same Sex Marriage

In judging these other churches when they drop the ball, keep in mind that our own American Catholic Church was one of the worst offenders. When a majority of our bishops closed their eyes to sex between priests and boys, and instead of seeking their prosecution they transfered the offending priests to unwary flocks, thus generating statutory homosexual rape of between 50,000 and 100,000 boys, they functionally did worse than the United Church of Christ did this week.

We are talking about official approval of homosexual unions in the United Church of Christ. This is directly in defiance of the Bible which clearly states that the act of homosexuality is sinful. Pedophilia has never been an official doctrine of the Catholic Church. Further, the percentage of priests who committed these crimes is .7-2% of all priests according to Prof. Philip Jenkins of Penn State. That’s less than the general population of 2-3% and less than the percentage of pedophilia in Protestant churches which he estimated at 2-3%. While that’s .7-2% too many priests, let’s not indict the whole Church. I don’t see the parallel with the United Church of Christ approving same-sex unions.

First, the U.S. Bishop’s own study admits to a rate of more than double your maximum 2% rate – 4.27%. The study only counted accused-and-not-acquitted priests. Many critics suspect that the true percentage of offenders is between 8% and 10%, because only about half of the victims are believed to have come forward, due to shame at engaging in homosexual sex acts with priests.

Second, it wasn’t pedophilia.

It was homosexuals going after “prime beef.” Pedophiles prefer girls 10 to 1. The misbehaving priests preferred boys 10 to 1.

Guess what: They’re homosexuals.

There is a certain amount of evidence that male homosexuals are inherently promiscuous. The University of Chicago’s own Gay Studies Department found that the average male homosexual interviewed by them in a massive study had had about 50 partners. My recollection is that the study defined “chaste” for male homosexuals as 15 partners or less!

So, the bishops cooperating with a scheme involving sending homosexual abusers to unwary flocks for about 4 decades really was the same thing that the Church of Christ just did – only worse!
