Hi everyone,
One of my husband’s friends has a grand niece who has Burkett’s Lymphoma that has spread to her bones, now leukemia. She is 11 years old and everything has been tried by the medical community. This friend is asking for 400 people to pray the Rosary for his niece and is asking us to pray for her. Her name is Katie McBride. He said the idea and number are from a Novena to the Divine Infant Jesus.

The set day and time is Sunday the 24th of February between 7 and 8 p.m. E.S.T. If you can please let me know how many of you will be praying on that day and time so I can let him know. He said he really wants to get 400 men, women and children.

May God Bless you for doing this for a girl you don’t know. I do not know her either, but she sounds great. Her family has put up a webpage for her at www.friendsofkatie.com.

In searching the web for the webpage from her family, I found that someone else, JohnnyK started a thread for prayer,on this forum, for Katie as well. I did not see the request for the Rosaries, but thought I keep this new thread. The other thread gives more information on Katie and you can check it out at: forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=218647

Will do!!
Actually already have been ever since I first heard about her. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy also.
God bless them.

Nana, I will be glad to pray on Sunday for Katie, but my life is very hectic right now, and I’m afraid that I may forget :o

Would you please send me a PM on Saturday to remind me?

Many thanks!

Hi Nana,
I will pray daily for Katie and her family. And I have set aside this hour, 7pm - 8pm EST Sunday, February 24, 2008 to pray the rosary with them for this child.

JESUS, You said, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.” Through the intercession of Mary, Your Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer for Katie’s recovery be granted.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be…

JESUS, You said, “All that you ask of the Father in My name, He will grant you.” Through the intercession of Mary, Your holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask Your Father in Your name that my prayer for Katie be granted.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be…

JESUS, You said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Word shall not pass.” Through the intercession of Mary, Your Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer for Katie will be granted.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be…

Me and me mum will be praying for Katie on Sunday between 7 and 8.

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary
Steve

Bumping this thread with the times in a few more time zones for those interested:

I also generated a link to show the equivalent “starting” time for any time zone.

timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=2&day=24&year=2008&hour=19&min=0&sec=0&p1=212

Just click the link above, then find the nearest large city on the list, and it will give you the exact time to start the rosary.

Hope this is helpful.
