So I heard the News just now that this Bishop group supports abortion groups, and Homosexaul groups. So two questions for all of you.
  1. Does this mean some of my money ive donated to my church was used two support abortion and homosexaul rights?
  2. Isn’t this the Same group of bishops who gave us the evil Nab notes?

And it was only the CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) collection that I’ve heard negative things about from Reform CCHD Now! So the money would have only gone to groups like ACORN (years ago) if you put money in the second collection for the CCHD in November.

There’s been a ton of controversy about who’s telling the truth about the money… if you don’t feel safe donating just don’t donate to that one second collection a year!
 
Im puzzled by so few responses to my topic. Are people just trying to ignore this?

These are the bishops that gave us the Scandalous NAB Notes correct?

Also I’d really like to know if the money ive been donating to my church each week, has been used to support abortion and gay marriage?? Can someone give me a clear answer to these two questions. By your silence im likely to conclude yes on both counts.

If this is so , why are we letting this happen? Why doesnt the Vatican get some new Bishops?

Money you donate at your local parish goes to the parish. Some of it will go to the diocese but not a large amount.

I am not aware that any locally donated money goes to the USCCB.

If you actuallly go to the USCCB website, www.usccb.org, you can do research.

You will see that the CCHD did support some abortion or homosexual causes (can not remember which) but when the USCCB found out they cut funding for CCHD.

But sometimes we must respond to them so that their point of view is seen to be incorrect.

Allowing them free reign without response is not a good thing sometimes.

I have no agenda. Im trying to find out the truth about what’s going on.

You gave me a vague answer . I’d like a simple yes or no on BOTH questions.
The Bishops webpage may say one thing , but what there doing seems to be something all together different WHY??

It’s a little tricky and one can’t paint the entire bishop’s conference with a broad brush.

Yes, a sizable number of pro-homosexual and pro-abortion groups were and are being funded by the CCHD. Not all have been defunded.

Yes, the USCCB is a member and pays thousands of dollars every year in dues to the very pro abortion Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.

However, the fault most likely lies at the staff level, and intent has not been proven. It may be a case of high imprudence. The USCCB has been frustratingly silent about all of this since last November.
