Just got my issue of USF Magazine (a publication mostly for alumni solicitation of donations) It’s no secret there is total disregard for the Mandatum at this Jesuit University, but the Chair of the Theology dept wrote a peice defending the “diversity” of their education there and I was wondering if there are any other USF grads out there that read it. I can’t believe that there are alumni out there that don’t know what goes on at USF and further that actually send them money!
 
Just an addendum to the above post: Out of curiosity I searched the USF Home page for the following subject headings-- gay/lesbian, mandatum, pro-choice and prolife. Here are the results. Gay/lesbian returned 14 pages of hits, mandatum returned 2 items, pro-choice returned over 20 pages, and prolife returned one and a half pages of hits. Incidentally, the title of the “diversity” defense was “Staying Catholic in a Diverse World”. I wish I could give a website address for it, cause it’s a doozy.
