After speaking about the Vienna Circle and disposing of the verification principle (see previous post), Professor Brian Davies OP holds a little discussion on Talking About God here.

I’ve been bumping up against the words univocal and equivocal for a while and always need to look them up again to refresh myself about a concept I never really GOT, if you know what I mean. Analogy I always understood (or so I thought) but it’s only after seeing it in relation to univocal/equivocal that I think I finally updated my understanding of that too. So I found this little discussion really useful. See if you don’t agree…
