I recently started a website to place all of the resources I could think of that would show a woman with an unplanned pregnancy that she can still have the life she wants to have, even with a child. It includes non-profit groups and government programs/services that are available to help woman (and in some cases men) that need it. Financial/matieral aid, medical assistance, food resrouces, child care, college assistance, etc. I tried to include anything that I think a pregnant woman could possibly use. Anyway if anyone knows of anyone contemplating abortion, let them know that they are not alone, and that help can be found, and if anyone knows of any helpful links let me know and I’ll add them to the site 🙂

I like the idea. Yeah, definitely include all the crisis pregnancy centers you can. I wonder if there are any other websites with lists of these centers that you could add…

If you click on the Pregnancy Help page there are links to sites that have searchable databases with all the local pregnancy crisis centers in them. That’s actually what gave me the idea for the site. I fiugre if they make it that easy to find it’s more likely someone will use the centers, like wise, if we make all of this information easy to find more people are likely to use it, and therefore more likely to go through with their pregnancies 🙂 Now it’s just a matter of getting the site info to people who really need it.

What a lovely initiative, God bless you for setting this up! 👍

Great idea. 👍 Now you just need bumper stickers with the website address on it. 🙂

lol, I thought about bumperstickers and little business cards that the sidewalk counselors could hand out, but my budget hit a financing block when I tried to get it past the department of wifery… Maybe some day soon, for now I’m going to have to hope that the people that believe this is a good idea, and that letting women know there is more help available then they think, and that they are not alone in this will get the site out there and to the people that really need the help 🙂

My younger sister got pregnant at 15 ½, she was lucky because she was attending a Catholic High School at the time and therefore given priority to attend a Catholic home for pregnant unwed girls, which had a waiting list much longer then any pregnancy.

Do include information about good Catholic adoption agencies. Regardless not everyone is ready to be a “parent”. The Godparents of my children (distant relatives) adopted 3 and are wonderful.

Blessings that your work is fruitful.

Yes if you click on the site there is a page that deals with adoption and different organizations and sites for information and 🙂

You should contact JREducation as well about the Franciscan Brothers of Life.

I browsed the site, and it looks promising.

Have you thought about listing pregnancy shelter’s or centers by location, may be state-by-state? I know of a few, but they only have one location, so they would only be of use to people who live very close to them. If you want that info, PM me.

There are links on the site that take you to searchable databases with all the Crisis Pregnancy centers in them. You can enter your city/state and it will pull up all the centers that are close to you 🙂
