Unusual or creative penance from confession

I like that one.

I thought it was a pretty good one.

I’m a baby Catholic, so I’ve only been to confession a couple times. However, I’ve yet to get prayers as a penance.

I’m not sure if its a Franciscan thing or not, but every Penance I have received from my OFM priest might be viewed by you as “unusual” or “creative”, because I have never, ever, not one single time, been given the X number of Our Fathers, or Hail Marys, or Rosarys.

I get that one a lot (do an act of kindness for someone)…and not always even from the same priest. Maybe Someone is trying to tell me something.
