Hey all.
I have considered Catholicism for years but now I am quite sure that’s where I am going.
I have talked with some local Catholic friends and I am pretty much ready to become a Catholic. I am going to go trough the courses soon.

But I have a severe stress over something… and it ruins my body and my mental health.

You see back when I was about 16 I was a Muslim Convert.
I had been a Muslim convert for I think three years or so. I uploaded some Islamic videos of an apologetical nature and also refutation and even mockery of other sects within Islam.

I have had many emails and many YouTube accounts so I cannot remember the email I used for this acocunt. I have no clue what the email is called.
I feel like I have caused so much damage by uploading this since it has been viewed by thousands of people. I may be guilty of causing harm to people or even worse desroying peoples souls…

And I fele like if I try my best to remember it then maybe I could. And I feel like I have an obligation. I try to remember and I get anxious, but I can’t remember. I feel really bad about it.

Maybe if I tried harder… what if I would try harder? I would be commiting a sin of omission by not trying harder…

I have also tried reporting the videos but nothing has happend.

I feel like I am beyond hope. I can’t find out how to forgive myself.

Please pray for me. I am stressed every day about this…

Hmm you can contact youtube and see if they can help you out.

If it’s possible you can continue to get people you know to report it but I don’t think your videos are violating guidelines…

I’ll pray for you, definitely. But do not beat yourself up over it.

O Jesus, please have mercy on this Your friend and his anxiety and help him through his struggles. Amen. 🙂

I’ve done morally similar things in my time - misleading propaganda of some kind.

If you are being reliably inducted into the Christian faith it should cover the following things - and it should continue and provide ongoing support in your relationships with frequently mixed-with companions -
  • your restoration to fellowship with God and the wider Church (probably sacramental)
  • Holy Spirit power to you to live better from now on
  • restoration of damage done to your own soul
  • people who can join you in intercessions for the restoration of any damage to anyone else’s soul
  • ditto regarding mitigation or prevention of any bad effect of such a video on anyone from now on, even if it can’t be removed
Very commonplace situation, very simple to address as long as you have the right companions especially lay people. 🙂

The Lord is leading you. But you can’t save the world and you don’t have to. The world already has a Savior! (I have had to learn that lesson myself as a reformed drug addict and gangster) We all have things we have done in the past that we regret but now we have a new life. It looks like you have done everything you could to repair any harm your actions in the past may have caused. We can pray about it and for the people we may have hurt during that time, and then we leave it. It is what you do from now on that is most important. In fact the record of your past self may bolster your witness to your new life in Christ and may help you to reach people still caught up in that life. The Lord has a away of turning evil into good!

Thanks man.

I am sorry you are going through these anxious times.

I am becoming a firm believer that Satan uses our past sins to: distract us, discourage us, make us feel unworthy, paralyze us, and shame us. All distractions that will take us further from our God. Don’t let him win!!! Keep praying and stay on your chosen path. God will work it out.

Praying for you. God Bless you.
