upcoming EWTN specials of interest to ECs
LIGHT OF THE EAST II Wed 3/9/11 12:30 PM ET 30 mins Fathers Sopoliga and Berta continue their study of the rich traditions found in the Byzantine Catholic Church with a look at the holy season of Lent
I think this series is an excellent introduction to ECs. This is one section of the full series, which they tend to separate and show during Advent and Great Lent.
EPARCHY OF OUR LADY OF LEBANON: ANCIENT ROOTS…NEW SOIL 30mins
Wed 3/30/11 3:00 AM ET
Wed 3/30/11 6:30 PM
An introduction to the Maronite rite of the Church in America with interview of pastors and parishioners from various Maronite parishes throughout the Midwestern US, speaking favorably about their rite and their Catholic faith…
They have of course shown both these before…
I always say to contact them and say thank you when they run EC/OC programs AND say we want more. Ditto for Catholic Radio. EWTN Information & Viewer Response Department viewer@ewtn.com
If we don’t speak up nothing will change. They have shown more programming related to ECC/OCC lately, I suspect because of the tragedies going on in Iraq and Egypt. It’s mainly reruns of old shows but it does help educate the Latin Catholics, (and all of us).
