Thank you and God bless all for your continued prayers. My father is cleared by his cardiologist to resume chemotherapy. He missed two cycles of it while ill and as of his latest labs his numbers continue to improve or stay the same, which is encouraging, Again it shows no Leukemia in his blood. Even so, they do want to continue with the chemo for another cycle, after which he will have the biopsy of to see if he is possibly in remission. We pray that he is and that he will have no more infections or health issues that could jeopardize his chances of clearing cancer permanently or for a time, whichever is the will of God. Please pray with us. Know that I am praying for you, your intentions, and all intentions on the forums.

Continued prayers to St. Peregrine for your Father’s health & recovery.

Thank you for the update on your father. Prayers continuing for him…

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Diem’s Father). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Diem’s Father’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear Jesus,

I humbly implore you to grant your special graces to our family. May our home be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor and faith. I beg you, dear Jesus, to protect and bless all of us, absent and present, living and dead.

O Mary,

Loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and their vocations.

Blessed Saint Joseph,

holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which he granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and the dying, so that with Mary and with you, Heaven may find our family unbroken in the sacred Heart of Jesus.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Diem’s Father, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Today’s rosary and Devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague went out for all of the petitioners and their intentions here on the Catholic Answers Board; this includes you and your father.

Peace of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ Be Upon You & Your Loved Ones.

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins my Mother;
to thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of thy Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy clemency hear and answer me.
Amen

Praying in thanksgiving for the healing so far and for full recovery…

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
:signofcross:
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
…be our defense against the wickedness and
……snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
…and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host,
…by the power of God,
…thrust into Hell Satan
…and all the other evil spirits
…who prowl about the world
… seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Memorare
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known,
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petition,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Learning Christ
Teach me, my Lord,
to be sweet and gentle in all the events of life;
in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others,
in the insincerity of those I trusted,
in the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied.

Let me put myself aside,
to think of the happiness of others,
to hide my little pains and heartaches, so
……that I may be the only one to suffer from them.

Teach me to profit by the suffering that comes across my path.
Let me so use it that it may mellow me,
……not harden nor embitter me; that it may make me patient, not irritable;
……that it may make me broad in my forgiveness,
……not narrow, haughty and over-bearing.

May no one be less good for having come within my influence.
No one less pure, less kind, less noble for having been a
……fellow-traveler in our journey toward Eternal Life.

As I go my rounds from one distraction to another,
let me whisper, from time to time, a word of love to Thee.
May my life be lived in the supernatural, full of power and good,
……and strong in its purpose of sanctity.

Joining you in prayers of thanksgiving . . . for He is worthy!

Original Prayer to St. Michael

:signofcross:
“O Glorious Prince of the heavenly host, St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in the battle and in the terrible warfare that we are waging
against the principalities and powers,
against the rulers of this world of darkness,
against the evil spirits.
Come to the aid of man, whom Almighty God created immortal,
…made in His own image and likeness,
…and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of Satan.

“Fight this day the battle of the Lord,
together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the
… proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless
…to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in Heaven.
That cruel, ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces
…the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels.
Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage.
Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the
…multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order
…to blot out the name of God and of His Christ,
…to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined
…for the crown of eternal glory.
This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood,
the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart,
the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity,
…and of every vice and iniquity.

“These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness
…the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb,
… and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions.
In the Holy Place itself, where the See of Holy Peter and the Chair of Truth has
… been set up as the light of the world,
…they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety,
…with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep
…may be scattered.

“Arise then, O invincible Prince,
bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God,
…and give them the victory.
They venerate thee as their protector and patron;
…in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the
…malicious power of hell;
to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude.
Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet,
…so far conquered that he may no
…longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church.
Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High,
…so that they may quickly find mercy in the sight of the Lord;
and vanquishing the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan,
…do thou again make him captive in the abyss,
…that he may no longer seduce the nations.
Amen.

V. Behold the Cross of the Lord; be scattered ye hostile powers.***
R. The Lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered the root of David.*
V. Let Thy mercies be upon us, O Lord.
R. As we have hoped in Thee.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.

Let us pray.
O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as supplicants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin Immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious St. Michael the Archangel, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all the other unclean spirits who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of souls.
Amen.”

Thanksgiving Prayer

:signofcross:
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
receive our heartfelt gratitude
reminding us that You are always worthy of thanks.
Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
our faith and religious heritage;
the Priests who bring us the Sacraments;
our life, food and shelter;
our health, the love we have for one another;
our family and friends.
Thank You for those things You so generously give us
…and of which we are not even aware.
Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us the grace of having
…less “give me” and more gratitude throughout the coming years
…so that we may be aware that anything from You is good
…for You turn the “bad” into blessings for us.
Please Lord, grant us the grace of not forgetting that we can thank
…You over and over again for the same gift – and if we
…forget, may our Guardian Angel remind us.
Thank You, Lord. I Love You, Lord.
Amen.

Diem started another thread with the update on Mon., Nov. 7, 2016
Diem said:
Until I saw a PM today from a kind Prayer Warrior, I hadn’t realized it had been so long since I’d updated and asked for continued prayers for my Dad. Brief refresher, he had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Very Aggressive. 80% Blasts.He could not withstand aggressive chemo treatment. He opted to try a lower dose chemo.He was given 6 months to a year to live. By the end of 4 months he was in remission, and he did come very close to dying from an infection early on. It has been over 6 months now and he is still in remission! Our family considers this to be miraculous and the doctor has said that it isn’t known to happen that he would be in remission. (He goes to one of the most trusted and known cancer centers in the country, so he is receiving his care from a top expert who is saying that the case will go into medical books should he remain this way, so that other doctors will know how he treated a 73 year old, who also has CIDP, a rare neurological condition).Please pray for him that his cancer will not return. It has a high occurrence rate of returning. It would help also to include prayers of relief from painful symptoms and lack of mobility for his CIDP/neuropathy. It is so debilitating and has become worse due to chemo. Thank you all for your prayers! God Bless.
Thank you for the update. Too bad that you do not keep all the information on one thread 😦

Thank You, Lord for all You have done and do
for this family. Amen.
