Aunt Pat was intubated, on a vent, in a drug-induced coma. She is off the vent and has a trache as of last evening! Her heart is in much better shape. They think they’ve figured out why she vomits so much, and are treating it.

DH (Mario) is stopping dialysis. His urine count is way-way-WAY up, his creatine and BUN are way down. His hoemoglobin is touchy, but hey, if your only source of iron was hamburger and possibly shrimp, you’d be a litlte low in the hemoglbin, too. The double-lumen catheter is coming out this week. He goes to physical therapy twice a week. He’s slowly adding potasium and phosphorus rich foods to his diet. He’s looking toward teaching at least one class this summer.
