UPDATE- dh job

well, it looks like dh will lose his job. we are both very saddened by this. the head person doesn’t feel like he is meeting the things that they wanted from dh. DH feels like he has worked really hard, but i guess that they have different viewpoints.

would you all please continue to pray for us? we are in serious financial strain so that’s first and foremost on our minds. we have several months to get a gameplan but right now we’re just sad and angry.

we know that if we get really really serious about our finances we will probably be able to make it. it’s just going to be very hard, difficult and different for us. i’m a nurse and i make a nice wage plus really good benefits so from that aspect we’ll be ok. it’s just dealing with our debt. losing our home is really not an option for us. it’s very modest (read- small and affordable) and with only my income do-able, but we’ve got a lot of other things to consider too. we’ll be calling the CC companies to see what we can work out…

for now he will finish with dignity and we are already planning to get the resume dusted off this weekend…
 
I think I remember the original thread.
Remember to pray for and with your husband and support him. You are on his team and this needs to be approached with sensitivity to his ego now. Even if you aren’t feeling positive or even if you don’t really take his side. Make him think that you do. Money problems always seem more dire when you are in them. I know, I’ve been to the poorhouse before. Support and build up your man. We men are strange creatures and need some things that may not come natural to you.

I will keep you guys in my prayers. Sorry this job didn’t work out, but God has you both in his hands! Don’t let your husband get discouraged, men lose a lot of self-esteem when they lose their job. (as I am sure you already know.)

please continue to pray for us. we don’t know what exactly will happen…we hope he may be reassigned to another job within his employer. i’m praying hard for this!!
