Thank you all who have been praying for my father who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in April and given 3-6 months to live with treatment. Because of his age, 73, and another condition he has, CIDP, the treatment has not been aggressive to cure him, but just to maintain his life for as long as possible. He nearly died a few weeks ago from a fungal infection and it took a couple of weeks to get that under control so he missed one of his chemo sessions. Yesterday they did routine labs and we got very good news. The doctors were even surprised. All of his red counts, hemoglobin, hematocrit, were up and his blood shows NO LEUKEMIA! We are shocked at this and happy because at the least it gives us more time with him and at most, a complete healing, which would be a miracle. We believe in miracles, but realize that it doesn’t happen often and are leaving that up to our Lord and will accept the ultimate outcome in accordance with His will. There is still a problem with his white blood cell counts, platelets and neutrophils. They are still too low. He does seem to have an infection in a tooth, so that could be part of the problem so he will go to the dentist tomorrow.
Please continue to pray for my Father for an increase in his white blood cells, for healing. We are praying for a complete healing. God Bless you kind people for your prayers.
