I made a post back in June about an inaccurate statement by the Wall Street Journal concerning the Eucharist.
https://forums.catholic-questions.o...nal-misinformation-on-the-eucharist/556132/22

I’m pleased to say that an editor responded to me and said they added a note to the video’s description stating us Catholics DO believe in the Real Presence, and updated the video on their website. The capitalization could be better but hey I’m not complaining about them listening!

“This video incorrectly says Catholics…”

Way to go! Good for you! You are setting a great example for all of us.

I had to do the same thing with a history professor of mine (he was Presbyterian). So, good!

Way to go! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you, too, for reminding us that a single voice most definitely CAN make a difference! Freedom in motion!

Kudos, also, to the fairness shown by The Wall Street Journal in rectifying their error.

I hope that every teacher who sees this thread will make it known at school, and that CAFers bookmark it for teaching moments with their children and grandchildren.

I’m not at all computer savvy, and don’t know how to link, but I’ve found almost all Wikipedia entries regarding Catholicism and Christianity to be at odds in some way with the teachings I learned so many decades ago in my youth.

Most glaring and upsetting to me have been the almost complete lack of acknowledging the existence of the Catholic Church in Christianity articles until the Reformation era—almost no mention that quoted Early Church Fathers were also Early Catholics. And, did you know that Roman Catholics, according to Wikipedia, do not refer to the Holy Eucharist as Holy Communion, but only Communion? Amazing.

Please, Faith, and all you loyal CAFers, take on these “misstatements,” too! Win some more corrections for us!
