Updated list of Churches that will/may start celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass after September 14

Here are a few additional locations that will offer the Traditional Latin Mass.

Kenrick Seminary in the Archdiocese of St. Louis will be holding the Traditional Latin Mass every other week, alternating with a Latin Novus Ordo. thenewliturgicalmovement.blogspot.com/2007/09/another-seminary-introducing-usus.html

St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church in Jacksonville, AL will be celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass every Sunday at 12:15 PM starting September 16. unavocenorthernalabama.blogspot.com/2007/09/northern-alabama-latin-mass-times-and.html
 
Starting this Sunday September 16, 2007 the TLM will be celebrated every third Sunday at 1 PM at Saint Therese of Lisieux Church in Alhambra, California.

The mass will be celebrated by Fr. Bishop.

If you are in the area please consider attending, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Two parishes in my diocese will be offering the Traditional Latin Mass for the first time:

St. Patrick’s Church in Nashua, NH: 4:00 PM on September 16.

Immaculate Conception Church in Portsmouth, NH: 11:00 AM on September 23.

Another possibility: Corpus Christi Parish in Portsmouth, NH (no date given)

New England area ? Like Wallingford, CT? Meriden, CT?

What I find really amazing is how many churches are going to be adding TLM to their schedules when the US bishops comments were basically, this isn’t anything that will interest parishes here in the US, but this is mainly for those Catholics in Europe.

Maybe they should listen to their parishoners a little more often.

Thank goodness we have a wonderful TLM community here in the Lexington, KY area.

Yes, I think the claims made by some people that Summorum Pontificum “will not change anything” have been shown to be wrong. By the way, what I have posted on this thread is by no means all the churches in North America that will start celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass. See, for example, the replies to this blog post: thelatinmassnetwork.org/2007/09/new_jersey_parish_prepares_for.html#comments
I have not been able to find much information about the locations mentioned.

Plus, this thread has been focusing just on North America (except for Dublin). I am sure many churches all over the world will add the Traditional Latin Mass.

Thanks for the reminder and the link. I’ve just gone to that site and added two TLM’s that have been started in my neck of the woods!

I think that it would be a good idea for a place like this (and a few others). Someone would have to make it a “Sticky”, and the people would have to post the information to that web-site.

If it’s not a “Sticky” the web-site will get lost just like all the good information on this thread…

The first Latin Mass at Saint Therese was a great success. There were probably at least 200 people there, as many or more than attend a single NO there on a typical Sunday.

The other good news is that is has already expanded from the just the 3rd Sunday to the the 4th and 5th Sunday of each month. They have plans to offer it every Sunday once they have enough Priests to cover it. The Pastor himself is in the process of learning the Latin rubrics.

St. Theresa’s in Sugarland, TX had a EF Mass on Friday, September 14. The pastor had noted in the bulletin that if it went well, he would try to schedule more.

In this week’s bulletin they posted that they will have the EF Mass on Oct. 7 at 2:30 and on every first Sunday from then on. 👍
 
For a while it seemed that there were no reports of churches celebrating the Extraordinary Form, then all of a sudden I heard of multiple locations.

St. Joseph Church in Centerville, Louisiana will have the Traditional Latin Mass on Sundays.

St. Mary’s Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan will have the Traditional Latin Mass on Sundays.

St. Jospeh Church in Watervliet, Michigan will have the Traditional Latin Mass on Sundays.

St. Bernard of Clairvox Church in Oriska, North Dakota will have the Extraordinary For on Sundays.

The time and frequency of the celebrations at these churches are not listed.

Also Our Lady of Mercy Church in Parsons West Virginia will hold the Traditional Latin Mass at 12:30 on the second Sunday of every month.

St. Thomas Aquinas Church will hold the Traditional Latin Mass on the third Sunday of every Month at 7:30 AM and also four times a week.

The Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Rariton New Jersey going going from twice a month celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass to daily Mass.

Starting the first Sunday in Advent and every Sunday thereafter, the Extraordinary Form of the Mass will be offered at 12:30 PM at Holy Angels in Aurora, IL, offered by by Fr. Heintz, the pastor.
