Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel - day 1 (Nov 18)

O Beautiful Flower of Carmel, most fruitful vine, splendor of heaven, holy and singular, who brought forth the Son of God, still ever remaining a pure virgin, assist us in our necessity! O Star of the Sea, help and protect us! Show us that you are our Mother!

O Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, grant me this favor that is so dear to my heart, and even dearer to the heart of my earthly mother! I pray for the success of my appeal before the courts in Germany and that I retain the B seal of my disability pass, especially the travel benefits my mother and I so desperately need.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.

Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel - day 2 (Nov 19)

Most Holy Mary, Our Mother, in your great love for us you gave us the Holy Scapular of Mount Carmel, having heard the prayers of your chosen son Saint Simon Stock. Help us now to wear it faithfully and with devotion. May it be a sign to us of our desire to grow in holiness.

Novena to the Holy Souls in Purgatory - day 3

O most sweet Jesus, through the bloody sweat which Thou didst suffer in the Garden of Gethsemane, have mercy on these Blessed Souls. Have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the pains which Thou didst suffer during Thy most cruel scourging, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the pains which Thou didst suffer in Thy most painful crowning with thorns, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the pains which Thou didst suffer in carrying Thy cross to Calvary, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the pains which Thou didst suffer during Thy most cruel Crucifixion, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the pains which Thou didst suffer in Thy most bitter agony on the Cross, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the immense pain which Thou didst suffer in breathing forth Thy Blessed Soul, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

Holy Souls, I prayed for you and made sacrifices for you and will continue to do so all my life. I am asking you for the second most pressing thing in my life, which is the B seal on my disability pass. By your intercession, let my appeal before the courts be successful and the adverse ruling overturned.
I renew my Heroic Act of charity on your behalf and ask you to strongly pray for this special intention, just as you are praying for my job in Munich.

Blessed Souls, I have prayed for thee; I entreat thee, who are so dear to God, and who are secure of never losing Him, to pray for me a miserable sinner, who is in danger of being damned, and of losing God forever. Amen.
My God! because Thou art infinite goodness, I love Thee above all things, and repent with my whole heart of my offenses against Thee. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance. Have compassion on me, and, at the same, on the holy souls suffering in Purgatory. And thou, Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.
Our Father who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Novena to St Therese of Lisieux - day 3

O Glorious St. Therese,
whom Almighty God has raised up to aid
and inspire the human family,
I implore your Miraculous Intercession.

You are so powerful in obtaining every need
of body and spirit from the Heart of God.
Holy Mother Church proclaims you “Prodigy of Miracles…
the greatest saint of Modern Times.”

Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition

of overturning the adverse ruling which would deprive me of the B seal on my disability pass. Little Flower, you know how much I need this, how much my mother needs this… as you have helped me with the job interview at SSKM, help me here once more… bring this to Our Lord and pick a beautiful white rose, tinged with pink and give it to me with a message of love as a sign that my prayer is being granted.

Dearest Little Flower, I beg your powerful intercession, not just because I need this, but because my mother needs this as well. My mother is in deep sin like I, and yet the Lord permitted you to grant me my wish to live and work in Munich. Please, beg the Good Lord to not permit my mother to suffer in such a way that she cannot accompany me anymore, she has already been worried to death… Remind the Lord of His mercy, His unfathomable Divine Mercy and let the appeal be successful for the glory of Heaven and the conversion of my mother.

and to carry out your promises of
spending heaven doing good on earth…
of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.

Little Flower, give me your childlike faith,
to see the Face of God
in the people and experiences of my life,
and to love God with full confidence.

St. Therese, my Carmelite Sister,
I will fulfill your plea “to be made known everywhere”
and I will continue to lead others to Jesus through you.

Amen.

Novena to St Rita - day 3

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors hast been called the advocate of the hopeless and even of the impossible; St. Rita so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou couldst obtain from him whatsoever thou askest, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of the suppliant; be lavish to us as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, or the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.
We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify, thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Relying upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus,

We pray: for the retention of my disability B seal on my disability pass here in Germany, that the appeal before the courts will be successful and the adverse ruling overturned, that I will be led to doctors and psychologists that will testify about this necessity on my behalf.
St Rita, for peace of my mind, send me a purple rose as a sign that you have heard and answered my request.

Obtain for us our request by the singular merits of thy childhood,
By thy perfect union with the Divine Will,
By the heroic sufferings during thy married life,
By the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband,
By the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God,
By thy miraculous entrance into the convent,
By thy severe penances and thrice daily bloody scourgings,
By the suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of thy crucified Savior,
By the divine love which consumed thy heart,
By that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, on which alone thou didst exist for four years,
By the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse,
By the perfect example thou gavest to people of every state of life.
Pray for us, O holy St. Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Merciful God, please assure the appropriate assistance for waffle_anna and her mother,
and for all those who also have unfairly or catastrophically had their necessary benefits reduced or removed.
Lord have mercy on waffle_anna and her mother, and all those in dire need.
Where possible, if the benefits cannot be reinstated, or reinstated in full, please bless with compassion and practical assistance from others in the community who can help.

Novena to Padre Pio - day 1

Preface: Oh most Holy God, we humbly prostrate ourselves before Thy Infinite Majesty, and we adore Thee and dedicate to Thy glory the devout prayers which we now present to Thee, as an act of devotion to your servant, St Padre Pio, whose intercession we are now imploring.

Oh holy Saint Padre Pio, throughout your entire life you sought always to love Jesus and Mary with your whole heart. Help us that we too may always seek to know, love and serve God with all of our hearts, and help us to seek His holy will in all things. And for the love of God we ask the following grace:

the retention of the B seal on my disability pass and the successful appeal and overturning of the adverse ruling of the court in Cologne. If it is possible, let me smell a most sweet fragrance as a sign that my prayer has been heard and granted.

Beloved St Padre Pio, we give this request to you, seeking your heavenly intercession, and we ask you to make this request in our name before the throne of God.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be…

May God hear and answer our prayer according to His holy will and for His greater glory. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, AMEN. +

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Little Flower, I wish to thank you for showing me white roses tinged with pink on Friday. I am most thankful and trusting this signal grace, just as you have shown me blue roses days before I would receive the invitation to the job interview.

St Rita, you have shown me purple roses just now… in a flash… on a personalized advertisement… I wish to thank you profusely as well… that you are hearing and granting my prayer, praying together with St Therese, our Blessed Mother, the Holy Souls, Padre Pio… thank you!!!

I will continue praying hard, imploring your intercession, doing my best to avoid sin and do little acts of love and sacrifice (St Therese’s little way) to please our Heavenly Father.

I know you saints are not genies that grant every desire, but these two wishes, my travel benefits and the job in Munich are most dear to my heart… thank you for showing mercy to me and my mother.

I will buy statues of you, St Therese, and you, St Rita, and place them in my home so I have you always near me when I require special help… and of course, I will praise your miracles in the confessional.

Holy Souls in Purgatory, I have prayed for you, and I will continue to pray to you.
I have also encouraged others to pray for you, and I will continue to encourage others to pray for you.”
In return please obtain for me: the retention of my B seal and thus my travel benefits and, as you know, the job in Munich
I also ask the whole court of heaven for these favours also, especially Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Holy Souls in Purgatory, St Therese of Lisieux, St Rita of the Impossible, St Jude and St Padre Pio the Wonderworker.

I love you. Amen

Woe to me, unhappy being, if Thou, O Lord, hadst cast me into hell; for from that dungeon of eternal pain there is no deliverance. I love Thee above all things, O infinite God and I am sincerely sorry for having offended Thee again. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance. Have compassion on me, and, at the same time, on the holy souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.
Our Father who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel - day 4 (Nov 21)

When you gave us, Gracious Lady, the Scapular as our Habit, you called us to be not only servants, but also your own children.
We ask you to gain for us from your Son the grace to live as you children in joy, peace and love.
