Recently (seemingly started this year) I have developed a serious affliction of which has since been nigh-omnipresent in my life. This affliction isn’t lethal or impairing, however it has significantly ruined my quality of life. I don’t want to say what exactly it is, as it’s too sensitive for me, but it’s effects are starting to become psychologically overwhelming. I tried praying to the Father, Son, and Spirit to heal me, as well as asking Michael, Mary, and Padre Pio to pray for me, I even asked a sibling of mine who is deeper in their walk–but to no avail. My situation hasn’t changed, neither better nor worse; It simply is. I am starting to lose faith; My hope, which was once bountiful, is now nonexistent. A life with this affliction is worse than death, but I cannot determine my natural end… At this rate, my suffering may never end (some cases disappear but most don’t).
My health is already starting to slowly deteriorate due to stress alone (the Doctors have confirmed these secondary issues are stress-induced), and I don’t know how much more I can take before my body loses it’s will to continue functioning. I honestly can’t take it anymore, I’ve already went through the process of praying, crying, praying while crying, etc. No effect, no avail. Oftentimes I find this sadness soon turning to malice when I realize that Christ, being omnipresent–is literally right beside my as I’m suffering, hearing my prayers directly, and yet, seemingly refuses to heal me. It leads me into thinking (admittedly wrong) thoughts such as “why should I care if God doesn’t care?”, amongst other questions of similar nature. I try to be optimistic about Heaven, but unfortunately, I’m still rather young, unless something catastrophic or lethal happens, I’m looking forward to an estimated average of 50+ years of omnipresent suffering. It’s truly saddening in that I feel my suffering is closer to me than God himself. I can perceive my suffering in ways that God could never allow me to perceive Him–but that’s for another time.
Any smile that happens to cross my face immediately turns to magnified sadness once I realize what I now am. My suffering is especially worse since I didn’t always have this problem, and it seemingly came overnight. How come if I were to go to a Mystic I could be healed instantly, yet when I go to the living God who empowers the Mystics through his Spirit, I get nothing? Why does God tip the scales in such a way to even create the illusion that his servants are somehow more productive than He?
