Father,
Thank you for puberty! Every healthy person on the way to adulthood has to pass through this stage in life and sometimes it presents things that are troublesome, that cause us to wonder things we should not wonder about.
Here a parent is concerned about a 16 year old daughter. The concern would not have been there is there were no cause for concern,and we bring both parent and child to your throne.
For the child we pray we for guidance to negotiate this wonderful time in life with poise and dignity. For her to be aware of the wonderful changes happening in her life and that she will embrace them with joy and thanksgiving. That her peace, both inside and outside, will be the kind that will make others look up to her and wonder how she can take it all so calmly, so maturely. That she will be able to help other people with their journeys through puberty and keep them in touch with that which is noble in their lives.
Parents have the greatest concern for their children, as this mother has for her daughter. Parents don’t have all the answers, and sometimes we need help as well. Let peace and harmony rule this parent, so that her nobility and magnificence can be seen by the child, her daughter. Let peace be the parent’s companion in all things knowing that you are keeping a watchful eye on the child.
Please be with all parents and children going through this challenging stage in life. Let them all know that your love will keep them, both parents and children, in the palm of your hands.
