Urgent Prayer Petition/Dizziness

Dear Friends,
Please pray for a healing of my dizziness and other symptoms (intermittent burning sensation in the face and sometimes in the ear).

I have little time for doctors in this area. I became ill six years ago with severe dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, face and ear pain etc., but due to lots of prayers (by myself and by others), I went into a sort of remission. This illness lasted about three years.

My balance is often a bit off. This is only really known to myself because the problem is slight.

Lately though I have been feeling increasing dizzy. Yesterday was the worst of all, I came very close to fainting just as the priest was about to give me Holy Communion. It was an awful experience. My husband was with me at the time and he stood beside me as I received Communion, although he and the priest were not quiet sure what was happening.

My husband and I walked home straight after Mass (two streets away from the church). As we got to the front door we could hear the phone ringing. It was the priest who was very concerned to know what had happened to me. My husband explained to him that I had experienced a dizzy spell and I explained to the priest about the illness which I have just mentioned in this posting.

As for doctors in this area: forget it, never again: They are disasters: two general practitioners and three specials: One ear, nose and throat special, one balance specialist, and one world authority of vertigo.

One of them wrongly prescribed a drug for me (for the vertigo) that another doctor told me was extremely dangerous and addictive.

With prayer I managed to get off this drug. The doctor who told me to look up this drug and what it was all about on the internet, has since told me that I am the only person who he has ever met, who managed to get of this drug. (The coming off was cold turkey and it was a terrible experience).

Doctors are alright and fine when they get it right, but in this area I don’t trust them.

Please pray that I will be healed of the dizziness and the imbalance problem. Please except this posting as my thanks. I am not keen to be on the computer for longer than I need to be because the dizziness.

Prayers for you.

You’ve got to seek medical help - if you don’t trust your local doctors find others, even if you have to travel a bit to see them. This is too dangerous to be left untreated, especially if you suffered for so long last time.

Have you tried physical therapy or has your physician suggested it? I worked in a PT facility where many people were treated for vertigo and was curious if they tried that route yet.

I am praying to our Blessed Mother for her intercession.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Know that you are not alone. I suffer from a similar problem. It is very frightening at the time. You are in my prayers.
 
A friend of mine has something like this, called “benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.” It is a miserable thing to live with. Praying for your intentions:

Praying very hard for you! I agree with other posters who have suggested seeking other medical help even if you have to travel. This is an awful thing to have to put up with if there is a cure to be had.
