I need immediate prayers, please!

My fiance and I have run into a bit of bad luck lately. We have been basically literally living day to day out of his truck, sometimes being able to find a room. We are homeless right now and have to struggle each day. He has started a new job so I know it is going to get better soon, but he won’t be paid for another couple of weeks.

His former employer has been holding a substantial check that he has promised to give to him today. He has, however, promised this before and put him off. If we can get this today, we will be able to afford a place to stay and food. I am beginning worried because we still have not heard from him today even though we have called and emailed. It is 60 miles away and we can’t just drive there because we will used up all of the money we have left in gas, and would have nothing if we were to drive there and the money isn’t there.

Please pray that God will touch this man’s heart to give my fiance what he has earned and what is rightfully his, so that our basic needs can be met.

O Lord, Please open the heart of this employer to pay the fair wages of their employee, and not withhold anything. Let all employers be given a spirit of generosity and help them understand the lives that they bless or harm by their actions.

But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.
