URGENT: Prayers Desperately Needed for Relapsed Addict

God of mercy, we bless You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who come to Him. Give Your strength to this young man, bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold him in Your love and restore him to the freedom of God’s children.
Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe, your life of love and labor for souls was sacrificed amid the horrors of a concentration camp and hastened to its end by an injection of a deadly drug.
Look with compassion upon this young man who is now entrapped in addiction to drugs and whom we now recommend to your powerful intercession.
Having offered your own life to preserve that of a family man, we turn to you with trust, confident that you will understand and help.
Obtain for us the grace never to withhold our love and understanding, nor to fail in persevering prayer that the enslaving bonds of addiction may be broken and that full health and freedom may be restored to him / her whom we love.
We will never cease to be grateful to God who has helped us and heard your prayer for us. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers.

This young man did in fact go to rehab and was sober for more than 100 days. However, unfortunately his drug dealer sought him out at his safe house and he relapsed for most of this year.

He has since had two surgeries attempting to decrease his pain and health issues which contributed to his addiction. With the exception of a week of pain pills necessary for his surgery, he will have five months of sobriety this upcoming week.

He has many family members and loved ones who support him but struggle with the fear of his relapse. Some of his family are struggling so much with their faith and their perseverance.

Please pray for him to be healed now and forever in the name of Jesus. Please pray for his family and loved ones who suffer. God bless you!

I believe most firmly that You watch over all who hope in You,
and that we can want for nothing when we rely upon You in all things.

Prayer for Medical Doctors
O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,
that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation Your Son became Man,
lived on this earth, healed the sick,
and suffered and died on the Cross.
Amen.

Apology and Thanksgiving Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
as we ask for forgiveness for not giving You thanks.
Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
Remind us at all times that You are always worthy of our thanks.

Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
our faith and religious heritage;
the Priests who bring us the Sacraments;
our life, food and shelter;
our health, the love we have for one another;
our Police Officers and Firefighters who keep us safe;
our Soldiers and Veterans who fight and fought for our Country;

Please pray for this young man who is 8 months sober from addiction but struggling with dreams about using these drugs, temptations to use, shame and guilt.
Please pray for him to be given the strength and grace he needs to stay clean and for God to bless him with all needed gifts to stay successful in his recovery.

Please also pray for his family and loved ones who have suffered and are still struggling with fear and sorrow.
Dear Venerable Alfred Pampalon, listen to my cry and come to my aid. Obtain for me the favors I desire. You are well known as the protector of people who are suffering in body, mind and spirit.

You show special compassion for alcoholics and drug addicts. You have freed so many people from their dependencies. Free this young man I beg you, dear Father Alfred, and free those people I recommend to you, especially members of my family.

I come to you with confidence. I pray for myself and for all those who are dear to me. Come also to the assistance of the Church and of the whole world. Amen.
God of mercy, we bless You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who come to Him. Give Your strength to this young man, bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold him in Your love and restore him to the freedom of God’s children.
Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe, your life of love and labor for souls was sacrificed amid the horrors of a concentration camp and hastened to its end by an injection of a deadly drug.
Look with compassion upon this young man who is now entrapped in addiction to drugs and whom we now recommend to your powerful intercession.
Having offered your own life to preserve that of a family man, we turn to you with trust, confident that you will understand and help.
Obtain for us the grace never to withhold our love and understanding, nor to fail in persevering prayer that the enslaving bonds of addiction may be broken and that full health and freedom may be restored to him / her whom we love.
We will never cease to be grateful to God who has helped us and heard your prayer for us. Amen.
