I’m asking for prayers that he doesn’t resist at the last minute, that God fills him with peace and casts out any doubts or fears and that God walks with him every step of his journey through the program. Please pray that God uses this rehab experience to heal him from all his wounds once and for all and breaks the chains of addiction for the rest of his life. Also that his family and loved ones may receive grace, comfort and hope from the Holy Spirit during this sad and frightening time.

Lord, please heal all the addicted in the world. Cover all of them with your Holy Spirit and reclaim them as your children. Don’t let evil prevail in this world but rescue your lost sheep as you have promised you would. Cover all addicted with your Holy Spirit and move in their lives to provide lasting healing and freedom from addiction. Bless all those who work in addiction and recovery from researchers to doctors, nurses, counselors and social workers. Look on your children with pity and provide them with the healing they need from this terrible scourge.
