Please pray for this young addict to be healed from addiction, protected from craving and temptation and converted. Please pray God would open his heart to Christ and allow him true and total healing, personal growth and a faith that will preserve him from relapse.
God of mercy, we bless You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who come to Him. Give Your strength to this young man, bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold him in Your love and restore him to the freedom of God’s children.
Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe, your life of love and labor for souls was sacrificed amid the horrors of a concentration camp and hastened to its end by an injection of a deadly drug.
Look with compassion upon this young man who is now entrapped in addiction to drugs and whom we now recommend to your powerful intercession.
Having offered your own life to preserve that of a family man, we turn to you with trust, confident that you will understand and help.
Obtain for us the grace never to withhold our love and understanding, nor to fail in persevering prayer that the enslaving bonds of addiction may be broken and that full health and freedom may be restored to him / her whom we love.
We will never cease to be grateful to God who has helped us and heard your prayer for us. Amen.

"Lord, in your servant, Matt Talbot you have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence of the Holy Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give us courage to take up our crosses and follow in the footsteps of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Father, if it be your will that your beloved servant should be glorified by your Church, make known by your heavenly favours the power he enjoys in your sight. We ask this through the same Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You.

They will definitely be in my prayers. I have several recovering addicts in my family and I know how hard it is to see someone you care about relapse. You will also be in my prayers! Stay strong and never give up hope!
Lord, please send your Holy Spirit down into the heart of this addict. So many things can drive an addict to relapse, but without you they will never be able to truly start recovery. Help them to see that life, although hard, is so much better when you can make your own decisions. Help this addict to see that you, God, are the only way to happiness! Lord, please also watch over the family and friends of this addict. Watching someone you care about relapse is extremely hard and can really test someone’s faith. Please help these people stay strong in you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers! They are greatly appreciated and much needed.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair

submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Lord, please look upon this young addict with mercy. Offer him the graces he needs to be healed from addiction and find your plans for his life. Heal him from depression, emotional wounds and spiritual harassment. Send angels to guide him and ministers, counselors and Christians to help lead him back to you. Soften his heart that he may be converted and healed.
Please bless his family and loved ones with grace, love, patience and understanding.

Lord, this is my prayer not just for this particular addict but for all addicts suffering from addiction, and addicted thinking patterns. Our country, families and homes are being ravaged by addiction. Be our refuge, heal the afflicted, bring justice to those who provide the means for addictions, guide our government and leaders, heal us, Lord for without you we have no hope.
