Urgent prayers for 12 injured firefighters

I was taking a shower earlier and heard a helicopter going around and around over my house and wondered what it was. I was planning to go to the church a few blocks away because they have Wednesday adoration…then discovered there was an underground transformer fire within a block of the church and 12 firefighters have been hospitalized with injuries. That’s a lot of firefighters especially since this is not a big town. The entire area including the church has been evacuated due to carbon monoxide, so I am going to the church a couple miles up the road to pray for the firefighters.

Please if you could say some prayers for our injured firefighters, I would appreciate it. I’m not even sure if 12 is going to be the final number, as they first reported 4, then it went to 12, and our county sheriff is on Facebook asking people to please pray.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph please bless, protect and heal these firefighters and protect all who live and work in the affected area including the priests and those at the Church.

Update now says one firefighter is dead.

Eternal rest grant unto the deceased firefighter, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him or her.
May s/he rest in peace.
May the firefighter’s soul, and the souls of all other faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Adding this to my rosary intentions for this evening, may God help everyone affected by this tragedy.

Thank you all for your prayers. There has now been a news update.
The firefighter who someone reported dead earlier, did not die. He had a heart attack and is going to have to spend some time in the hospital but he will survive.

The other injured firefighters are all going to recover, the news just said.
And everyone who was made to evacuate has been allowed to return home (although I bet their power is out because it was an underground transformer fire that spread to someone’s electrical panel).

Thank God for his mercy that these injuries and damage to property were not more serious, and especially that the man who had a heart attack from the carbon monoxide did not die.
Prayers for the recovery of those who are still in the hospital.
Praying also that the utility company whose equipment caused this will pay some compensation as well.

God in his mercy spared the firefighter, he didn’t die, that was an erroneous report from someone at the scene. He had a cardiac arrest but they say he’ll live.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (12 injured firefighters). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into 12 injured firefighters’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
