Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins my Mother;
to thee do we come; before thee do we stand, sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer us.

Thank you everyone.

My husband is now in a rehab hospital. It is not possible to have a serious conversation with him. He is only good at small talk.

The hard part is that for me being able to discuss things with him, no matter what - religion, politics, other issues, was always important to me. I am the type of person that likes to do that. To be deprived of that will be very hard for me.

Please pray that he is able to recover his ability to do that, and please pray that he will return to the sacraments. I do not understand how a person who almost died twice could still refuse a priest. What is he afraid of? God have mercy on him and me.

He may be coming home next week. That is when the trouble really starts. Medical insurance does not like to keep mobile people. That he has an inability to communicate is of no consequence to them, so they will dump him in my lap and sign off on me.

What I am going to do is beyond me. I have no help and no support, and I want to just walk out the front door and never come back at this point in time.

Please keep praying.

Do inquire at the hospital, or get a social worker involved if you can to provide help and give you time off. You cannot do this all on your own. It doesn’t hurt to ask if help is available.
