Urgent Prayers Needed For My Uncle Joe

Heavenly Father, we thank you that you brought Joe through a successful
heart surgery. We thank you and praise you for all the caregivers, the
doctors, nurses and staff. We continue to ask for Joe’s continued
speedy healing of his head, brain, etc. Lord, we ask that you relieve
the pressure on his brain, and reduce any swelling he may be
experiencing. And Father we ask especially that you will re-grow the
brain cells that were damaged in the strokes. Father, we put Joe into
your hands. Father, you have said that where two or more are gathered
in your name and ask for anything in Jesus mighty name, you will do it
for us. Father, I know that there are many multiples of 2 gathered in
your Holy Name and praying right now. Father we also agree on the
healing for Joe’s brain, in his praying, talking, walking, and in all

the Anointed One, the Prince of Peace, the Lamb of God, Our Savior.

In this time of need, strengthen him. You are our strength and our shield; You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. I know, Father, that Your eyes go to and fro throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts long for You. The body grows weary, but my hope is in You to renew his strength. Help him not to fear, for You are with him. Help him not to be dismayed or overwhelmed, for You are our God. I know You will strengthen him and help him; that You will uphold him with Your righteous hand. Even as the shadows of illness cover him, let him feel the comfort of Your strength. Thy will be done. and become more like You in trial.

and the salvation of all men.

Here is the latest on my Uncle Joe.

Please pray for Joe. I just received word that he aspirated last night so they have moved him back to the hospital
ICU. He is now on a breathing machine. Nina taught school yesterday,
but the hospital called her this morning so she is there.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for all you have done for Joe. We thank
you that he is in your hands right now. We continue to ask for your
healing precious blood to cover him and flow through his veins removing
any impurities and removing any blockages to his healing. Lord we also
ask that you remove any fear he and his family may be experiencing and
replace it with your courage, boldness, and comfort and whatever they
need right now, and in the days to come. Heavenly Father, we thank you
that you are hearing our prayers and that the angels and saints are
praying with us. In Jesus name, we stand on your promises of healing
and hope for Joe and for us.

Right now, we offer up with Joe his and our sufferings for the souls in
Purgatory and for his family. Thank you Lord for listening to and
answering our prayers. May your precious will be done in this. Amen.

Here is the update as of 7:18 PM CST. From my Aunt Lillie on Uncle Joe’s condition.

I spoke to Nina this afternoon. She said that Joe had done better
today. He has had his eyes open, has moved his leg, seemed to be
listening to Theresa, and then attempted to smile at something Mary Ann
said to him.

Nina said that it was a good day.

Joe is in the Select Specialty Hospital in the Life Science Plaza on
Holcombe. The hospital is on the 6th and 7th floors. There are other
businesses in the building. Everyone has been able to visit with him,
and they have not been keeping anyone from visiting. They told Nina
that it was up to the family as to who they wanted to visit.

We will continue to pray for his continued speedy recovery. Joe has
been through a lot in the past 2-3 weeks. It’s time for some relief.

Here is the latest on Uncle Joe from my Aunt Lillie that I got this morning in an email.

" Joe is still in ICU. He opened his eyes and appeared to be listening
and to recognize me. Nina and I read the Sunday scriptures to him. He
was only moving his left arm. Sometimes he kind of squenched his left
eye. I wasn’t sure if possibly his head was hurting or what. Also,
they have put him back on the Ritalin (?sp). This is supposed to help
him to stay awake for longer periods of time.

Please continue to pray for him. One of the benefits of us all praying
together is a reminder to all of us as to how precious life is and how
we need to be praying for each other. We all have our ups and downs,
and that one little prayer might be the little thing that lifts up and
allows us to continue in our sorrows, our tribulations and our joys.

Heavenly Father, we ask that you continue to touch Joe, his family and
friends with you loving care, grace, peace and love. We thank you for
the many blessings you have given him and us. We thank you for all the
ways that you are healing him spiritually, physically, mentally,
emotionally, and financially. We thank you that you are meeting all of
his and our needs through your Son, Christ Jesus, the anointed one, the
Lamb of God, Prince of Peace. Amen

I got this from my sister concerning my Uncle Joe and more importantly, My Aunt Nina.

“Please pray for my Aunt Nina whose husband, Joe, my uncle, is in the hospital. Her mother passed away this evening as she was driving to visit Uncle Joe. Lord we just ask You for strength, comfort, peace, and wisdom for Nina. Help her with all of her… needs. I ask all of this in the Holy Name of JESUS. Amen.”

Here is the latest on Uncle Joe from my Aunt Lillie.

"Hello, you all.

There’s not a lot to relate on Joe. I was told that on Wednesday he had
a very good day and was awake a lot of the time during the day. Nina
and Theresa visited with him in the morning.

I stayed with Joe yesterday afternoon. He was dozing most of the time.
The only time he opened his eyes was when the male nurses spoke. I was
told he was in the sleep mode. The physical therapist came in about
2:00 and Joe was placed in a chair and she attempted to wake him up. I
even took a cool wet washcloth and wiped his eyes and he just squenched
his eyes. The therapist told me that on Wednesday Joe was in the chair
for about 2 hours and he had his eyes open most of the time. It was not
so for me. I just spent the time reading scriptures and a part of a
book on the power of praise. He had a couple of coughing spells, but
for the most part he appeared to be meditating (sleeping). I guess it’s
kind of like on a computer the hibernation mode.

As I was reading the psalms to Joe, the nurse at the desk let me know
that Nina wanted to talk to me on the phone. I updated her and then
went back into the room. Joe’s eyes were open. I guess he realized
that I had quit reading to him. I told him that Nina called to check on
him and to say that she loved him.

Maybe today he was awake more than yesterday. I haven’t heard anything.

Please continue to keep Joe and all those that are suffering with
strokes, heart problems, cancer, diabetes, mental problems, and whatever
other ailments in your prayers. I know God is doing mighty things with
our prayers even though we can’t see the results, or they are happening
slowly.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was
in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.

May God always be praised for he is the same yesterday, today, and
tomorrow.

May God’s peace be on you all."
