Urgent Request for Prayers - Man in Hit And Run Accident

Dear all,

I would so very appreciate if I get your most sincere prayers for my dear uncle, Alex, who was in a severe accident last night. He went missing last night and we found out this morning he had been in horrible accident where a driver struck him while he was walking to his car in a hit and run - he is alive but in ICU and been hooked up to a tube. We have my parents and aunt rushing to the hospital as we speak, but I am currently living abroad, so I feel a bit helpless in what I can do so I am asking for all the prayers that you can give. His mother (my grandmother) is also in hospital trying to fight her battle with leukemia - she is unaware, but very religious and I know she would be doing everything she can to save him if she could, but we fear she will not hold on if she hears of the news.

Hear us for Your servant Alex, who was badly injured in

and restore Alex to complete health so that he may give

St. Jude, you witnessed the healing power of our Lord Jesus. You saw His compassion for the sick and dying. You yourself touched the sick, shared the sorrows of the mournful, and encouraged the despairing. You received this authority and healing power to work wonders, to cure the incurable, to make people whole. We ask you to intercede with our brother, Jesus, to send His saving grace to heal the sickness and suffering of Alex, to uplift his despondent spirit, and to instill hope in his heart. Please intercede with Jesus for Alex’s mother in her battle with leukemia and graces be given to the family members during this period of stress.

I cannot thank you enough for your prayers.

Just an update - We have finally gotten the full police report - we were misinformed. It was not a hit and run, the man did call an ambulance afterwards, which does not put down the severity of the situation, but makes me feel better in some capacity.

He was hit by a small truck, so all prayers possible needed. He is currently in a coma and has severe brain damage. We are praying for a miracle.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Alex). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Alex’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
