We must sacrifice and offer our difficulties, irritations and hardships to God as reparation as well as pray.
I was just at a conference given by the Intercessors of the Lamb. The priest, a regular, manly guy, talked about the hardest sacrifice he had to make. His habit, which is white and teal. A bright teal, one can see it a mile away. And, he has to wear it everywhere.
It is humiliating for him, and believe me, people stare, make comments, and are downright nasty.
Yet, I don’t think there is anything God will not grant this man, Mother Nadine Brown and the rest of the Intercessors. Their prayers are powerful, almost mystical in nature. They are positive and uplifting, and empowering as Christians. They even do deliverance prayer, which is needed now more than ever.
He said that we can ask God for anything because He wishes to grant our deepest desires. The problem is that we don’t trust in Him, and are too afraid to approach Him b/c of our sins. We are supposed to root out our sin, but by letting Him do so, instead of relying on ourselves. That is our mistake.
Anyway, he led us through a guided meditation (using the imagination to allow God to communicate with us). We were to ask God who we are according to Him. It was a powerful meditation, and changed me completely. We think God is angry and wants to annihilate us, when in fact He is our Father and just wants us to come to HIm in purity and sincerety.
We need to ask His mercy on behalf of our sinful neighbors, and offer our struggles in reparation for this. The tide will turn, though there may be quite a few casualties. I can see the groundswell, silent and powerful, but, we must stand our ground and get to work.
