Obamacare could’ve been history long ago if the USCCB would have been much stronger in their condemnation of Obama’s ideologies. Obviously the ultra-ambiguous voting guide the USCCB put out had no positive effect on this past election, and now they are scrambling to try and put an end to this? Too little too late.

I’m more interested in knowing what the USCCB is going to do if and when this all goes into effect. Will they instruct people to stand up for their faith even if it means going to jail, or will they tell us all to go with the flow? Will Catholic hospitals make a stand against this immoral piece of legislation? Or are we in for more photo ops laughing it up with Obama? The U.S. is in a downward spiral and it seems the Catholic Church in America is getting caught up with it.

Actually they were pushing the effort and were concerned on the coverage for all. Note especially this part in their letter:

The Senate and House bills make great progress in covering people in our nation. However, the proposed bills would still leave between 18 and 23 million people in our nation without health insurance. This falls far short of what is needed in both policy and moral terms.

The USCCB wanted to see adequate healthcare for everyone. The issues that are causing the objections are not matters of caring for health, but of breaking of the normal healthy functions of our bodies.
