USCCB Liturgical Calendar PDF Parenthetical Numbers' Meaning?

The USCCB 2011 Liturgical Calendar lists the daily readings and vestment colors. Among the last information for the readings listing is a number in parentheses or something like “Pss III”. What do these mean? Thank you!

This tells you which psalms and canticles to use in the Liturgy of ;the Hours, which follows a four week cycle.

Note this week:

13 SUN THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME green
Prv 31:10-13, 19-20, 30-31/1 Thes 5:1-6/Mt 25:14-30 or 25:14-15, 19-21 (157)
Pss I

use those for week I for this week.

and next week

20 SUN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST THE KING white
solemnity
Ez 34:11-12, 15-17/1 Cor 15:20-26, 28/Mt 25:31-46 (160) Prop Pss

use the proper psalms etc for the Solemnity. [Proper means those designated for this specific day. They are proper to this feast.]

21 Mon The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary white
(Thirty-fourth or Last Week in Ordinary Time)
memorial
Dn 1:1-6, 8-20/Lk 21:1-4 (503) Pss II

Use those for week II for the rest of the week.

   Don’t know what site you were using; so can’t check this. I would expect it to be a page number, but that doesn’t fit any of the LOTH books that I am familiar with.
   
   For the LOTH go to Divine Office or Universalis. The first offers both the text and audio. The latter has different, though valid, translations because of copyright problems.

The number in parentheses in the USCCB Liturgical Calendar comes after the scripture readings for Mass (the 2 or 3 readings and the responsorial psalm) and represents the LECTIONARY “packaging” number, i.e. the LECTIONARY packages the readings together for each Mass. If you have a LECTIONARY, it makes it easy to find the readings together.

Note: the phrase “packaging number” is my own useful and descriptive term. There may be an official term, but I don’t know it.

So if the psalms alternate according to a four week cycle, then does that mean we only pray 28 of the 150 psalms? How can I find a list of these psalms? The websites you’ve mentioned seem only to provide the prayers for now – perhaps it is too complicated to provide a list of what will be prayed later? The Divine Office seems really complicated …
