For more advanced users, there is a function called BBCode (bulletin board code) that can be used to adjust the format of one's posts. In a nutshell, it "lifts the lid" and shows you the code behind the format in a post. For instance, when you quote someone else, the quote appears in a "bubble" of sorts, and you then reply below using normal text. I sometimes use BBCode to "slice and dice" when I want to respond to another user, but want to take each one of their ideas separately when they've expressed several ideas in one large block of text. It's kind of tricky to use, but once you get the hang of it, it's not difficult.
Just a word to the wise, BBCode is absolutely NOT to be used to change other users' content, or worse, to create quotes that they did not make. I don't object to changing spelling when something is misspelled, but beyond that, don't do it. Doing so could result in being perma-banned, and having all of your content removed at my discretion.
