Keep in mind that having that degree will be very beneficial, if God forbid, something were to happen to your husband. If you have a year left, wait out the next 4 months, and you should still graduate while pregnant (assuming a normal pregnancy).

I’m in a similar boat- I’d love another, but there are things we feel merit waiting a bit longer yet…

As far as teaching goes, too, I am one! It’s been a blessing for us. I teach preK part- day, my children are taken care of at the school in the morning, and we are together all afternoon. It helped us to pay my husband’s student loans off very quickly, and save for some big purchases (house, cars), which were needed. That can be a VERY versatile degree- you can tutor, work in part day-care, part-time sub in schools, etc, while still being pretty much a SAHM. It’s wonderful when you need to save up for a big purchase, and can help that come together more quickly.

Finish your degree.

It’s only a year.
I agree. As long as it doesnt turn into.
Until I get a job.
Until I am settled in the Job.
Until I get a promotion.
Until we get a house.
Until we get a different job in the city we want to raise kids in.
Until we get cars big enough for soccer gear.
Until we can send a kid to an Ivy league school.

Then the answer is never.

But I dont sense that here.
